⁴ So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

¹⁰ Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

¹¹ For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

⁴³ But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,

¹¹ The greatest among you must be a servant. ¹² But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

⁴⁸ Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf^[a] welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”

⁵ In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for

²⁶ But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, ²⁷ and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.
