²⁰ For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”^(A)

⁴ So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.^(A) They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.^(B)

²⁰ and teaching^(A) them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you^(B) always, to the very end of the age.”^(C)

⁵ And I myself will be a wall^(A) of fire^(B) around it,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory^(C) within.’^(D)

²⁶ A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace^(A) be with you!”^(B)

To the Church in Ephesus

2 “To the angel^[a] of the church in Ephesus^(A) write:

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

¹⁹ On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,^(A) Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace^(B) be with you!”^(C)

¹¹ which said: “Write on a scroll what you see^(A) and send it to the seven churches:^(B) to Ephesus,^(C) Smyrna,^(D) Pergamum,^(E) Thyatira,^(F) Sardis,^(G) Philadelphia^(H) and Laodicea.”^(I)

¹² I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands,^{(J) 13} and among the lampstands^(K) was someone like a son of man,^[a](L) dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet^(M) and with a golden sash around his chest.^(N)
