¹⁸ Truly, I say to you, ^(A)whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed^[a] in heaven.

¹⁹ I will give you ^(A)the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and ^(B)whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed^[a] in heaven.”

¹⁰ Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ,

^23 (A)If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

⁴ When you are assembled ^(A)in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, ⁵ you are ^(B)to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so ^(C)that his spirit may be saved ^(D)in the day of the Lord.^[a]

To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷ “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of ^(A)the holy one, ^(B)the true one, ^(C)who has the key of David, ^(D)who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

⁸ “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you ^(E)an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

²³ with the following letter: ^(A)“The brothers, both ^(B)the apostles and the elders, to the brothers^[a] who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, ^(C)greetings. ²⁴ Since we have heard that ^(D)some persons have gone out from us and ^(E)troubled you^[b] with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, ²⁵ it has seemed good to us, having come ^(F)to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our ^(G)beloved Barnabas and Paul, ^26 (H)men who have ^(I)risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁷ We have therefore sent ^(J)Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth. ²⁸ For it has seemed good ^(K)to the Holy Spirit and ^(L)to us ^(M)to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: ^29 (N)that you abstain from ^(O)what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.”

³⁰ So when they were sent off, they went down to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter. ³¹ And when they had read it, they rejoiced because of its encouragement.
