²⁸ And I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”

9 Jesus went on to say, “I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God arrive in great power!”

⁵² The people said, “Now we know you are possessed by a demon. Even Abraham and the prophets died, but you say, ‘Anyone who obeys my teaching will never die!’

⁶⁴ Jesus replied, “You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand^[a] and coming on the clouds of heaven.”^[b]

²³ When you are persecuted in one town, flee to the next. I tell you the truth, the Son of Man^[a] will return before you have reached all the towns of Israel.

²⁶ and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.

²⁶ Then everyone will see the Son of Man^[a] coming on the clouds with great power and glory.^[b]

⁹ What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.

²⁷ Then everyone will see the Son of Man^[a] coming on a cloud with power and great glory.^{[b] 28} So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”
