²⁷ She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat ^(A)the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.”

⁸ To me, ^(A)though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, ^(B)to preach to the Gentiles the ^(C)unsearchable ^(D)riches of Christ,

²¹ who desired to be fed with ^(A)what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.

¹³ though formerly I was a blasphemer, ^(A)persecutor, and insolent opponent. But ^(B)I received mercy ^(C)because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, ¹⁴ and ^(D)the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the ^(E)faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ The saying is ^(F)trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus ^(G)came into the world to save sinners, ^(H)of whom I am the foremost.

^12 (A)For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ^(B)for the same Lord is Lord of all, ^(C)bestowing his riches on all who call on him.

¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, ^(A)I have sinned against ^(B)heaven and before you. ^19 (C)I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’

²⁹ Or ^(A)is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

⁴⁰ But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? ⁴¹ And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” ⁴² And he said, “Jesus, remember me ^(A)when you come into your kingdom.”
