³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil, ^(A)the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

⁴⁹ So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, ^(A)separate the wicked from among the just,

¹⁵ And another angel ^(A)came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ^(B)“Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come ^[a]for You to reap, for the harvest ^(C)of the earth is ripe.” ¹⁶ So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Reaping the Grapes of Wrath

¹⁷ Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

¹⁸ And another angel came out from the altar, ^(D)who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, ^(E)“Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” ¹⁹ So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into ^(F)the great winepress of the wrath of God.

The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations

^31 (A)“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the ^[a]holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

^20 (A)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(B)those who worshiped his image. ^(C)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(D)burning with brimstone.

^14 (A)And he deceives ^[a]those who dwell on the earth ^(B)by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword ^(C)and lived.

⁹ So ^(A)the great dragon was cast out, ^(B)that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, ^(C)who deceives the whole world; ^(D)he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁷ and to give you who are troubled ^(A)rest with us when ^(B)the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. ^9 (C)These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and ^(D)from the glory of His power, ¹⁰ when He comes, in that Day, ^(E)to be ^(F)glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who ^[a]believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
