³² Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”^(A)

²³ On the mountain heights^(A) of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit^(B) and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches.^{(C) 24} All the trees of the forest^(D) will know that I the Lord bring down^(E) the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish.^(F)

“‘I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.^(G)’”

²⁰ When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to Paul: “You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous^(A) for the law.^(B)

¹⁸ I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles^(A) to obey God^(B) by what I have said and done— ¹⁹ by the power of signs and wonders,^(C) through the power of the Spirit of God.^(D) So from Jerusalem^(E) all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.^(F)

²⁰ This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come, ²¹ and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, ‘Let us go at once to entreat^(A) the Lord and seek^(B) the Lord Almighty. I myself am going.’ ²² And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat him.”^(C)

²³ This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”^(D)

⁴⁴ “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush^(A) all those kingdoms^(B) and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.^{(C) 45} This is the meaning of the vision of the rock^(D) cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands^(E)—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.

“The great God has shown the king what will take place in the future.^(F) The dream is true^(G) and its interpretation is trustworthy.”

¹⁰ “Who dares despise the day^(A) of small things,^(B) since the seven eyes^(C) of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone^[a] in the hand of Zerubbabel?”^(D)
