⁴⁹ And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!

³⁴ And ^(A)looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to ^(A)my brothers and say to them, ^(B)‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to ^(C)my God and your God.’” ¹⁸ Mary Magdalene ^(D)went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”—and that he had said these things to her.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples

^19 (E)On the evening ^(F)of that day, the first day of the week, ^(G)the doors being locked where the disciples were ^(H)for fear of the Jews,^[a] Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, ^(I)“Peace be with you.” ²⁰ When he had said this, ^(J)he showed them his hands and his side. Then ^(K)the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

²⁰ “I do not ^(A)ask for these only, but also for those ^(B)who will believe in me through their word,

⁸ For I have given them ^(A)the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that ^(B)I came from you; and ^(C)they have believed that you sent me. ⁹ I am praying for them. ^(D)I am not praying for the world but for those ^(E)whom you have given me, for ^(F)they are yours.

⁷ Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, ^(A)he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.”
