³⁶ I tell you, ^(A)on the day of judgment ^(B)people will give account for ^(C)every careless word they speak,

¹⁴ For ^(A)God will bring every deed into judgment, with^[a] every secret thing, whether good or evil.

^16 (A)on that day when, ^(B)according to my gospel, God judges ^(C)the secrets of men ^(D)by Christ Jesus.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and ^(A)books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is ^(B)the book of life. And ^(C)the dead were judged by what was written in the books, ^(D)according to what they had done.

¹⁴ It was also about these that Enoch, ^(A)the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, ^(B)“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, ^15 (C)to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have ^(D)committed in such an ungodly way, and of all ^(E)the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

⁴ Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, ^(A)but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Bondservants and Masters

^5 (B)Bondservants,^[a] obey your earthly masters^[b] with fear and trembling, ^(C)with a sincere heart, ^(D)as you would Christ, ⁶ not by the way of eye-service, as ^(E)people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
