²⁷ And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

^13 (A)Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists ^(B)took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, ^[a]“We ^[b]exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul ^(C)preaches.” ¹⁴ Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

¹⁵ And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”

¹⁶ Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, ^[c]overpowered them, and prevailed against ^[d]them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Jesus Forbids Sectarianism^(A)

^38 (B)Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”

³⁹ But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, ^(C)for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever ^(A)the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that ^(B)every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become ^[a]guilty before God.

¹⁹ And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.

Jesus Forbids Sectarianism^(A)

^49 (B)Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.”

⁵⁰ But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for ^(C)he who is not against ^[a]us is on ^[b]our side.”

^41 (A)The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and ^(B)condemn it, ^(C)because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. ^42 (D)The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.

²² And he said to him, ^(A)‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. ^(B)You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.
