²⁷ And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, ^(A)by whom do ^(B)your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.

¹³ Then some of the itinerant Jewish ^(A)exorcists ^(B)undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, ^(C)“I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.” ¹⁴ Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. ¹⁵ But the evil spirit answered them, ^(D)“Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” ¹⁶ And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all^[a] of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Anyone Not Against Us Is for Us

^38 (A)John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone ^(B)casting out demons in your name,^[a] and ^(C)we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.” ³⁹ But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever ^(A)the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, ^(B)so that every mouth may be stopped, and ^(C)the whole world may be held accountable to God.

¹⁹ And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, ^(A)by whom do ^(B)your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.

Anyone Not Against Us Is For Us

^49 (A)John answered, “Master, we saw someone ^(B)casting out demons in your name, and ^(C)we tried to stop him, because he does not follow with us.” ⁵⁰ But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, ^(D)for the one who is not against you is for you.”

^41 (A)The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and ^(B)condemn it, for ^(C)they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, ^(D)something greater than Jonah is here. ^42 (E)The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, ^(F)something greater than Solomon is here.

²² He said to him, ^(A)‘I will condemn you with your own words, ^(B)you wicked servant! You knew that I was ^(C)a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?
