²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come.

¹³ However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.

³⁷ He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, ³⁸ the field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the Kingdom, and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one. ³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. ⁴⁰ As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling and those who do iniquity, ⁴² and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

¹¹ Jesus answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things;

¹¹ Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lamp stand and on the left side of it?”

¹² I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?”

¹³ He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?”

I said, “No, my lord.”

¹⁴ Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord^[a] of the whole earth.”

11 A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, “Rise, and measure God’s temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it. ² Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months. ³ I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
