²³ When they ^(A)persecute you in one town, ^(B)flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel ^(C)before the Son of Man comes.

²⁸ Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not ^(A)taste death ^(B)until they see the Son of Man ^(C)coming in his kingdom.”

²⁷ And then they will see ^(A)the Son of Man coming in a cloud ^(B)with power and great glory.

Paul and Silas in Berea

^10 (A)The brothers^[a] immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they ^(B)went into the Jewish synagogue.

Saul Ravages the Church

8 And ^(A)Saul ^(B)approved of his execution.

And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and ^(C)they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

⁵³ So from that day on they ^(A)made plans to put him to death.

⁵⁴ Jesus therefore ^(B)no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there to the region near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim, and there he stayed with the disciples.

⁸ I tell you, he will give justice to them ^(A)speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, ^(B)will he find faith on earth?”

²⁹ And they rose up and ^(A)drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff. ³⁰ But ^(B)passing through their midst, he went away.

Jesus Heals a Man with an Unclean Demon

^31 (C)And he ^(D)went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And ^(E)he was teaching them ^(F)on the Sabbath,

²⁶ And then they will see ^(A)the Son of Man coming in clouds ^(B)with great power and glory.
