15 I have also sent to you all My (A)servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, (B)‘Turn now everyone from his evil way, amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them; then you will (C)dwell in the land which I have given you and your fathers.’ But you have not inclined your ear, nor obeyed Me.

Jeremiah 35:15
New International Version
15 Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets(A) to you. They said, “Each of you must turn(B) from your wicked ways and reform(C) your actions; do not follow other gods(D) to serve them. Then you will live in the land(E) I have given to you and your ancestors.” But you have not paid attention or listened(F) to me.
Jeremiah 6:16-17
New King James Version
16 Thus says the Lord:
“Stand in the ways and see,
And ask for the (A)old paths, where the good way is,
And walk in it;
Then you will find (B)rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17 Also, I set (C)watchmen over you, saying,
(D)‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’
But they said, ‘We will not listen.’
Jeremiah 6:16-17
New International Version
16 This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,(A)
ask where the good way(B) is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest(C) for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17 I appointed watchmen(D) over you and said,
‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’(E)
But you said, ‘We will not listen.’(F)
Proverbs 1:24-31
New King James Version
24 (A)Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 Because you (B)disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
26 (C)I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When (D)your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
28 “Then(E) they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
29 Because they (F)hated knowledge
And did not (G)choose the fear of the Lord,
30 (H)They would have none of my counsel
And despised my every rebuke.
31 Therefore (I)they shall eat the fruit of their own way,
And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
Proverbs 1:24-31
New International Version
24 But since you refuse(A) to listen when I call(B)
and no one pays attention(C) when I stretch out my hand,
25 since you disregard all my advice
and do not accept my rebuke,
26 I in turn will laugh(D) when disaster(E) strikes you;
I will mock(F) when calamity overtakes you(G)—
27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster(H) sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28 “Then they will call to me but I will not answer;(I)
they will look for me but will not find me,(J)
29 since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the Lord.(K)
30 Since they would not accept my advice

Luke 19:14-44
New King James Version
14 (A)But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’
15 “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ 17 And he said to him, (B)‘Well done, good servant; because you were (C)faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’ 18 And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’ 19 Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities.’
20 “Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. 21 (D)For I feared you, because you are [a]an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ 22 And he said to him, (E)‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. (F)You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’
24 “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’ 25 (But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas.’) 26 ‘For I say to you, (G)that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’ ”
The Triumphal Entry(H)
28 When He had said this, (I)He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 (J)And it came to pass, when He drew near to [b]Bethphage and (K)Bethany, at the mountain called (L)Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, 30 saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. 31 And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”
32 So those who were sent went their way and found it just (M)as He had said to them. 33 But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”
34 And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” 35 Then they brought him to Jesus. (N)And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. 36 And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to (O)rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying:
(P)“ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’
(Q)Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”
40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, (R)the stones would immediately cry out.”
Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem
41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and (S)wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this (T)your day, the things that (U)make for your (V)peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will (W)build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 (X)and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and (Y)they will not leave in you one stone upon another, (Z)because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Luke 19:14-44
New International Version
14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16 “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’
17 “‘Well done, my good servant!’(A) his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’(B)
18 “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’
19 “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’
20 “Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 21 I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’(C)
22 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words,(D) you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?(E) 23 Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’
24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
25 “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away.(F) 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(G)(H)
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.(I) 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany(J) at the hill called the Mount of Olives,(K) he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 30 “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.(L) 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
34 They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks(M) on the road.
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives,(N) the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”(P)
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”(Q)
40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”(R)
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it(S) 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.(T) 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls.(U) They will not leave one stone on another,(V) because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming(W) to you.”
