³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither ^(A)marry nor ^(B)are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

³⁴ And Jesus said to them, ^(A)“The sons of this age ^(B)marry and ^(C)are given in marriage, ³⁵ but those who are ^(D)considered worthy to attain to ^(E)that age and to the resurrection from the dead ^(F)neither marry ^(G)nor are given in marriage, ³⁶ for ^(H)they cannot die anymore, because they are ^(I)equal to angels and ^(J)are ^(K)sons of God, being ^(L)sons^[a] of the resurrection.

²⁴ Jesus said to them, “Is this not the reason you are wrong, because ^(A)you know neither the Scriptures nor ^(B)the power of God? ²⁵ For when they rise from the dead, they neither ^(C)marry nor ^(D)are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

^38 (A)For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, ^(B)marrying and giving in marriage, until ^(C)the day when Noah entered the ark,

²⁹ This is what I mean, brothers: ^(A)the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none, ³⁰ and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy ^(B)as though they had no goods, ³¹ and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For ^(C)the present form of this world is passing away.
