Let the Children Come to Me

^13 (A)And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples ^(B)rebuked them. ¹⁴ But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, ^(C)“Let the children come to me; ^(D)do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. ^15 (E)Truly, I say to you, whoever does not ^(F)receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” ¹⁶ And ^(G)he took them in his arms and blessed them, ^(H)laying his hands on them.

Let the Children Come to Me

^15 (A)Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they ^(B)rebuked them. ¹⁶ But Jesus called them to him, saying, ^(C)“Let the children come to me, and ^(D)do not hinder them, ^(E)for to such belongs the kingdom of God. ^17 (F)Truly, I say to you, whoever does not ^(G)receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

² And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them ³ and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you ^(A)turn and ^(B)become like children, you ^(C)will never enter the kingdom of heaven. ^4 (D)Whoever humbles himself like this child is the ^(E)greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

^5 (F)“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me,

³⁹ For ^(A)the promise is for you and ^(B)for your children and for all ^(C)who are far off, everyone ^(D)whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
