Matthew 14:26-31
New American Standard Bible
26 When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is (A)a ghost!” And they cried out [a]in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “(B)Take courage, [b]it is I; (C)do not be afraid.”
28 Peter responded and said to Him, “Lord, if [c]it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. 30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out with His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “(D)You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

New International Version
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,”(A) they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage!(B) It is I. Don’t be afraid.”(C)
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,”(D) he said, “why did you doubt?”
