9 ¶ Entonces entrando en un barco, pasó al otro lado, y vino a su ciudad.
2 Y he aquí le trajeron un paralítico, echado en una cama; y viendo Jesús la fe de ellos, dijo al paralítico: Confía, hijo; tus pecados te son perdonados.
3 Y he aquí, algunos de los escribas decían dentro de sí: Este blasfema.
4 Y viendo Jesús sus pensamientos, dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis malas cosas en vuestros corazones?
5 ¿Qué es más fácil, decir: Los pecados te son perdonados; o decir: Levántate, y anda?
6 Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del hombre tiene potestad en la tierra de perdonar pecados, (dice entonces al paralítico): Levántate, toma tu cama, y vete a tu casa.
7 Entonces él se levantó y se fue a su casa.
8 Y la multitud, viéndolo, se maravilló, y glorificó a Dios, que había dado tal potestad a los hombres.
9 ¶ Y pasando Jesús de allí, vio a un hombre que estaba sentado al banco de los tributos públicos, el cual se llamaba Mateo; y le dice: Sígueme. Y se levantó, y le siguió.
10 Y aconteció que estando él sentado a la mesa en su casa, he aquí que muchos publicanos y pecadores, que habían venido, se sentaron juntamente a la mesa con Jesús y sus discípulos.
11 Y viendo esto los fariseos, dijeron a sus discípulos: ¿Por qué come vuestro Maestro con los publicanos y pecadores?
12 Mas oyéndolo Jesús, les dijo: Los que están sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los enfermos.
13 Andad pues, y aprended qué cosa es: Misericordia quiero, y no sacrificio; porque no he venido a llamar a los justos, sino a los pecadores al arrepentimiento.
14 ¶ Entonces los discípulos de Juan vinieron a él, diciendo: ¿Por qué nosotros y los fariseos ayunamos muchas veces, y tus discípulos no ayunan?
15 Y Jesús les dijo: ¿Pueden los hijos de la recámara nupcial tener luto entre tanto que el esposo está con ellos? Mas vendrán días cuando el esposo les será quitado, y entonces ayunarán.
16 Y nadie echa remiendo de paño nuevo en vestido viejo; porque el tal remiendo tira del vestido, y se hace peor la rotura.
17 Ni echan vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera los odres se rompen, y el vino se derrama, y se pierden los odres; mas echan el vino nuevo en odres nuevos, y lo uno y lo otro se conserva juntamente.
18 ¶ Hablando él estas cosas a ellos, he aquí vino un principal, y le adoró, diciendo: Mi hija acaba de morir; mas ven y pon tu mano sobre ella, y vivirá.
19 Y se levantó Jesús, y le siguió con sus discípulos.
20 Y he aquí una mujer enferma de flujo de sangre hacía doce años, acercándose por detrás, tocó la franja de su vestido,
21 porque decía entre sí: Si tocare solamente su vestido, seré libre.
22 Mas Jesús volviéndose, y mirándola, dijo: Confía, hija, tu fe te ha librado. Y la mujer fue libre desde aquella hora.
23 Y llegado Jesús a casa del principal, viendo los tañedores de flautas, y la multitud que hacía bullicio,
24 les dijo: Apartaos, que la muchacha no está muerta, mas duerme. Y se burlaban de él.
25 Pero cuando la multitud fue echada fuera, entró, y la tomó de su mano, y se levantó la muchacha.
26 Y se difundió esta fama por toda aquella tierra.
27 ¶ Y pasando Jesús de allí, le siguieron dos ciegos, dando voces y diciendo: Ten misericordia de nosotros, Hijo de David.
28 Y llegado a la casa, vinieron a él los ciegos; y Jesús les dice: ¿Creéis que puedo hacer esto? Ellos dicen: Sí, Señor.
29 Entonces tocó los ojos de ellos, diciendo: Conforme a vuestra fe os sea hecho.
30 Y los ojos de ellos fueron abiertos. Y Jesús les encargó rigurosamente, diciendo: Mirad que nadie lo sepa.
31 Mas ellos salidos, divulgaron su fama por toda aquella tierra.
32 Y saliendo ellos, he aquí, le trajeron un hombre mudo, endemoniado.
33 Y echado fuera el demonio, el mudo habló; y la multitud se maravilló, diciendo: Nunca ha sido vista cosa semejante en Israel.
34 Mas los fariseos decían: Por el príncipe de los demonios echa fuera los demonios.
35 ¶ Y recorría Jesús todas las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el Evangelio del Reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y todo flaqueza en el pueblo.
36 Y viendo la multitud, tuvo misericordia de ella; porque estaba derramada y esparcida como ovejas que no tienen pastor.
37 Entonces dice a sus discípulos: A la verdad la mies es mucha, mas los obreros pocos.
38 Rogad, pues, al Señor de la mies, que envíe obreros a su mies.

Ang Salita ng Diyos
Pinagaling ni Jesus ang Paralitiko
9 Sumakay siya sa isang bangka. Tumawid siya sa ibayo at dumating sa kaniyang sariling lungsod.
2 Narito, dinala nila sa kaniya ang isang lalaking paralitiko na nakahiga sa isang higaan. Nang makita ni Jesus ang kanilang pananampalataya, sinabi niya sa paralitiko: Anak, lakasan mo ang iyong loob. Pinatawad na ang lahat mong kasalanan.
3 Narito, may ilan sa mga guro ng kautusan ang nagsabi sa kanilang sarili: Namumusong ang taong ito.
4 Si Jesus na nakakaalam ng kanilang mga iniisip ay nagsabi: Bakit kayo nag-iisip ng masama sa inyong mga puso? 5 Ito ay sapagkat alin ba ang higit na madali, ang sabihin: Ang kasalanan mo ay pinatawad na, o ang sabihin: Bumangon ka at lumakad? 6 Ginawa ko ito upang inyong malaman na ako, ang Anak ng Tao ay may kapamahalaang magpatawad ng mga kasalanan dito sa lupa. At sasabihin ko sa kaniya: Bumangon ka, buhatin mo ang iyong higaan. Umuwi ka na sa bahay ninyo. 7 Siya ay bumangon at umalis pauwi sa bahay niya.
8 Nang makita ito ng napakaraming tao ay namangha sila. Niluwalhati nila ang Diyos na nagbigay ng gayong kapamahalaan sa mga tao.
Tinawag ni Jesus si Mateo
9 Sa patuloy na paglalakad ni Jesus, nakita niya ang isang lalaki na nakaupo sa paningilan ng buwis na ang pangalan ay Mateo. Sinabi ni Jesus sa kaniya: Sumunod ka sa akin. Tumindig siya at sumunod sa kaniya.
10 Nangyari, na nang si Jesus ay nakaupo sa hapag-kainan ng bahay, narito, dumating ang maraming maniningil ng buwis at mga makasalanan. Sila ay umupo upang kumaing kasama niya at ang kaniyang mga alagad. 11 Nang makita ito ng mga Fariseo, sinabi nila sa kaniyang mga alagad: Bakit ang guro ninyo ay kumakaing kasalo ang mga maniningil ng buwis at ang mga makasalanan?
12 Ngunit nang marinig ito ni Jesus, sinabi niya: Ang malulusog ay hindi nangangailangan ng manggagamot kundi ang mga maysakit. 13 Humayo kayo at pag-aralan ninyo ang kahulugan nito. Habag ang ibig ko at hindi hain sapagkat naparito ako, hindi upang tawagin ang mga matuwid, kundi ang mga makasalanan upang magsisi.
Tinanong ng mga Alagad ni Juan si Jesus Patungkol sa Pag-aayuno
14 Nang magkagayon, lumapit sa kaniya ang mga alagad ni Juan na nagsasabi: Bakit kami at ang mga Fariseo ay madalas mag-ayuno ngunit ang iyong mga alagad ay hindi nag-aayuno?
15 Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila: Maaari bang mamighati ang mga abay sa kasalan habang kasama nila ang lalaking ikakasal? Darating ang mga araw na ang lalaking ikakasal ay aalisin sa kanila. Kung magkagayon, mag-aayuno na sila.
16 Walang taong nagtatagpi ng bagong tela sa lumang damit sapagkat ang tagpi ay bumabatak sa damit at lalong lumalaki ang punit. 17 Hindi rin isinasalin ng sinumang tao ang bagong alak sa mga lumang sisidlang-balat. Kung magkakagayon, puputok ang mga sisidlang-balat. Ngunit isinasalin nila ang bagong alak sa mga bagong sisidlang-balat at kapwa silang tatagal.
Ang Babaeng Maysakit at Batang Babaeng Patay
18 Samantalang sinasabi niya ang mga bagay na iyon sa kanila, narito, dumating ang isang pinuno. Sinamba siya at kaniyang sinabi: Kamamatay pa lamang ng aking anak na babae. Ngunit sumama ka sa akin at ipatong mo ang iyong kamay sa kaniya at mabubuhay siya.
19 Tumindig si Jesus at sumama sa kaniya at gayundin ang kaniyang mga alagad.
20 At narito, isang babaeng may labindalawang taon nang dinudugo ang lumapit sa kaniyang likuran. Hinipo niya ang laylayan ng damit ni Jesus. 21 Ito ay sapagkat iniisip ng babae: Kung mahihipo ko lamang ang kaniyang damit, gagaling na ako.
22 Ngunit lumingon si Jesus at pagkakita niya sa kaniya, sinabi niya: Anak, lakasan mo ang iyong loob. Pinagaling ka ng iyong pananampalataya. At ang babae ay gumaling mula sa oras na iyon.
23 Nang dumating si Jesus sa bahay ng pinuno, nakita niya ang mga tumutugtog ng plawta at ang maraming tao na nagkakagulo. 24 Sinabi niya sa kanila: Lumabas na kayo sapagkat ang batang babae ay hindi patay kundi natutulog lamang. At pinagtawanan nila siya. 25 Nang mapalabas na niya ang mga tao, pumasok siya. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ng batang babae at siya ay bumangon. 26 At napabalita ang pangyayaring ito sa buong lupaing iyon.
Pinagaling ni Jesus ang Bulag at Pipi
27 Nang lisanin ni Jesus ang dakong iyon, sinundan siya ng dalawang lalaking bulag. Sila ay sumisigaw na sinasabi: Ikaw na Anak ni David, mahabag ka sa amin.
28 Pagpasok niya sa bahay, lumapit ang dalawang lalaki sa kaniya. Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila: Sumasampalataya ba kayong magagawa ko ito?
Sinabi nila sa kaniya:Oo, Panginoon.
29 Nang magkagayon, hinipo niya ang kanilang mga mata at sinabi: Mangyari sa inyo ang ayon sa inyong pananampalataya. 30 Namulat ang kanilang mga mata. Mahigpit na ipinagbilin sa kanila ni Jesus na sinasabi: Huwag ninyong sabihin ito kahit na kanino. 31 Ngunit nang makaalis na sila, ikinalat nila ang nangyari sa buong lupaing iyon.
32 Nang sila ay papaalis na, narito, may mga taong nagdala sa kaniya ng isang lalaking pipi na inaalihan ng demonyo. 33 Nang mapalayas na niya ang demonyo, nagsalita ang pipi. Ang napakaraming tao ay namangha na sinasabi: Kailanman ay hindi pa nasaksihan sa Israel ang ganito.
34 Ngunit sinabi ng mga Fariseo: Nagpapalayas siya ng mga demonyo sa pamamagitan ng pinuno ng mga demonyo.
Kakaunti ang mga Manggagawa
35 Nilibot ni Jesus ang lahat ng lungsod at nayon. Siya ay nagtuturo sa kanilang mga sinagoga at nangangaral ng ebanghelyo ng paghahari. Siya ay nagpagaling ng lahat ng uri ng mga sakit at karamdaman.
36 Nang makita niya ang napakaraming tao, nahabag siya sa kanila sapagkat nanlulupaypay sila at nangalat katulad ng mga tupang walang pastol. 37 Nang magkagayon, sinabi niya sa kaniyang mga alagad: Totoong marami ang aanihin ngunit kakaunti ang manggagawa. 38 Idalangin nga ninyo sa Panginoon ng anihan na magpadala siya ng mga manggagawa sa kaniyang anihan.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man(A)
9 Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.(B) 2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man,(C) lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith,(D) he said to the man, “Take heart,(E) son; your sins are forgiven.”(F)
3 At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!”(G)
4 Knowing their thoughts,(H) Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? 5 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man(I) has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” 7 Then the man got up and went home. 8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,(J) who had given such authority to man.
The Calling of Matthew(K)
9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(L) he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”(M)
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a](N) For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”(O)
Jesus Questioned About Fasting(P)
14 Then John’s(Q) disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often,(R) but your disciples do not fast?”
15 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them?(S) The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.(T)
16 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. 17 Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(U)
18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him(V) and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her,(W) and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.(X) 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart,(Y) daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”(Z) And the woman was healed at that moment.(AA)
23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes,(AB) 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead(AC) but asleep.”(AD) But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.(AE) 26 News of this spread through all that region.(AF)
Jesus Heals the Blind and the Mute
27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”(AG)
28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
“Yes, Lord,” they replied.(AH)
29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;(AI) 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”(AJ) 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.(AK)
32 While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed(AL) and could not talk(AM) was brought to Jesus. 33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”(AN)
34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.”(AO)
The Workers Are Few
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.(AP) 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them,(AQ) because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.(AR) 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest(AS) is plentiful but the workers are few.(AT) 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
