²⁴deja tu ofrenda^[a] allí delante del altar, y ve, reconcíliate primero con tu hermano^(A), y entonces ven y presenta tu ofrenda^[b]. ²⁵Reconcíliate pronto con tu adversario mientras vas^[c] con él por el camino, no sea que tu adversario te entregue al juez, y el juez al alguacil^[d], y seas echado en la cárcel^(B). ²⁶En verdad te digo que no saldrás de allí hasta que hayas pagado el último centavo^[e]^(C).

Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. ²⁶Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
