⁷Pero cuando vio que muchos de los fariseos^(A) y saduceos^(B) venían para el bautismo, les dijo: «¡Camada de víboras^(C)! ¿Quién les enseñó a huir de la ira que está al venir^(D)? ⁸Por tanto, den frutos dignos de arrepentimiento^(E); ⁹y no piensen que pueden decirse a sí mismos: “Tenemos a Abraham por padre^(F)”, porque les digo que Dios puede levantar hijos a Abraham de estas piedras.

⁷But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers!^(A) Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?^(B) ⁸Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.^(C) ⁹And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’^(D) I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

⁷But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

⁸Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

⁹And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
