40 Vino luego a sus discípulos, y los halló durmiendo, y dijo a Pedro: ¿Así que no habéis podido velar conmigo una hora? 41 Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación; el espíritu a la verdad está dispuesto, pero la carne es débil. 42 Otra vez fue, y oró por segunda vez, diciendo: Padre mío, si no puede pasar de mí esta copa sin que yo la beba, hágase tu voluntad.

40 Luego volvió adonde estaban sus discípulos y los encontró dormidos. «¿No pudieron mantenerse despiertos conmigo ni una hora? —dijo a Pedro—. 41 Permanezcan despiertos y oren para que no caigan en tentación. El espíritu está dispuesto, pero el cuerpo es débil».

42 Por segunda vez se retiró y oró: «Padre mío, si no es posible evitar que yo beba este trago amargo,[a] hágase tu voluntad».

40 Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. He[a] said to Peter, “So, couldn’t you stay awake with me for one hour? 41 Stay awake and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42 He went away a second time and prayed,[b] “My Father, if this cup[c] cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will must be done.”
