Ellos contestaron:

—Les digo la verdad, los corruptos cobradores de impuestos y las prostitutas entrarán en el reino de Dios antes que ustedes. 32 Pues Juan el Bautista vino y les mostró a ustedes la manera correcta de vivir, pero ustedes no le creyeron, mientras que los cobradores de impuestos y las prostitutas sí le creyeron. Aun viendo lo que ocurría, ustedes se negaron a creerle y a arrepentirse de sus pecados.

30 Then came he to the second, and said likewise. And he answered, and said, I will, Sir: yet he went not.

31 Whether of them twain did the will of the father? They said unto him, The first. Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the Publicans and the harlots [a]go before you into the kingdom of God.

32 For John came unto you in the [b]way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the Publicans and the harlots believed him, and ye though ye saw it, were not moved with repentance afterward, that ye might believe him.
