Fariseos y saduceos piden señal
16 (A)Entonces los fariseos y los saduceos(B) se acercaron, y poniendo a prueba[a] a Jesús, le pidieron que les mostrara una señal[b] del cielo(C). 2 Pero Él les dijo: «[c]Al caer la tarde ustedes dicen: “Hará buen tiempo, porque el cielo está rojizo(D)”. 3 Y por la mañana: “Hoy habrá tempestad, porque el cielo está rojizo y amenazador”. ¿Saben ustedes discernir el aspecto[d]del cielo, pero no pueden discernir las señales de los tiempos(E)? 4 Una generación perversa y adúltera(F)busca una señal, y no se le dará señal, sino la señal de Jonás». Y dejándolos, se fue.
La levadura de los fariseos y saduceos
5 Los discípulos, al pasar al otro lado, se habían olvidado de tomar panes. 6 Entonces Jesús les dijo: «Estén atentos y cuídense(G)de la levadura de los fariseos y saduceos(H)». 7 Y ellos discutían entre sí, diciendo: «Lo dice porque no tomamos panes».
8 Pero Jesús, dándose cuenta, dijo: «Hombres de poca fe(I), ¿por qué discuten entre ustedes que no tienen pan? 9 ¿Todavía no entienden ni recuerdan los cinco panes para los cinco mil, y cuántas cestas recogieron(J)? 10 ¿Ni los siete panes para los cuatro mil, y cuántas canastas recogieron(K)? 11 ¿Cómo es que no entienden que no les hablé de los panes? Pero cuídense(L)de la levadura de los fariseos y saduceos(M)».
12 Entonces entendieron que Él no les había dicho que se cuidaran de la levadura de los panes, sino de la enseñanza de los fariseos y saduceos(N).
La confesión de Pedro
13 (O)Cuando Jesús llegó a la región de Cesarea de Filipo(P), preguntó a Sus discípulos: «¿Quién dicen los hombres que es el Hijo del Hombre(Q)?». 14 Y ellos respondieron: «Unos, Juan el Bautista(R); y otros, Elías(S); pero otros, Jeremías o alguno de los profetas». 15 «Y ustedes, ¿quién dicen que soy Yo?», les preguntó* Jesús. 16 Simón Pedro respondió: «Tú eres el Cristo(T), el Hijo(U) del Dios viviente(V)».
17 Entonces Jesús le dijo: «Bienaventurado eres, Simón, hijo de Jonás(W), porque esto no te lo reveló carne ni sangre(X), sino Mi Padre que está en los cielos. 18 Yo también te digo que tú eres Pedro[e](Y), y sobre esta roca[f]edificaré Mi iglesia; y las puertas del Hades[g](Z)no prevalecerán contra ella. 19 Yo te daré las llaves del reino de los cielos(AA); y lo que ates en la tierra, será[h]atado en los cielos; y lo que desates en la tierra, será[i]desatado en los cielos(AB)». 20 Entonces ordenó a los discípulos(AC) que a nadie dijeran que Él era el Cristo(AD).
Jesús anuncia Su muerte y resurrección
21 (AE)Desde entonces Jesucristo comenzó a declarar[j] a Sus discípulos que debía ir a Jerusalén y sufrir muchas cosas de parte de los ancianos(AF), de los principales sacerdotes y de los escribas, y ser muerto, y resucitar al tercer día. 22 Tomando aparte a Jesús, Pedro lo reprendió: «¡No lo permita Dios[k], Señor! Eso nunca te acontecerá[l]». 23 Pero volviéndose Él, dijo a Pedro: «¡Quítate de delante de Mí[m], Satanás(AG)! Me eres piedra de tropiezo; porque no estás pensando en las cosas de Dios, sino en las de los hombres».
Condiciones para seguir a Jesús
24 Entonces Jesús dijo a Sus discípulos: «Si alguien quiere venir en pos de Mí, niéguese a sí mismo, tome su cruz(AH)y que me siga. 25 Porque el que quiera salvar su vida[n], la perderá; pero el que pierda su vida[o]por causa de Mí, la hallará(AI). 26 Pues ¿qué provecho obtendrá un hombre si gana el mundo entero, pero pierde su alma? O ¿qué dará un hombre a cambio de su alma? 27 Porque el Hijo del Hombre(AJ)ha de venir en la gloria de Su Padre(AK)con Sus ángeles, y entonces recompensará a cada uno según su conducta(AL).
28 »En verdad les digo que hay algunos de los que están aquí que no probarán la muerte hasta que vean al Hijo del Hombre(AM) venir en Su reino(AN) ».

16 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

16 ¶ Y acercándose los fariseos y los saduceos para tentarle, le pedían que les mostrara señal del cielo.
2 Mas él respondiendo, les dijo: Cuando es la tarde del día, decís: Sereno; porque el cielo tiene arreboles.
3 Y a la mañana: Hoy habrá tempestad; porque tiene arreboles el cielo triste. Hipócritas, que sabéis tomar decisiones basadas en la faz del cielo; ¿y en las señales de los tiempos no podéis?
4 La generación mala y adúltera demanda señal; mas señal no le será dada, sino la señal de Jonás profeta. Y dejándolos, se fue.
5 ¶ Y viniendo sus discípulos del otro lado del lago, se habían olvidado de tomar pan.
6 Y Jesús les dijo: Mirad, y guardaos de la levadura de los fariseos y de los saduceos.
7 Ellos pensaban dentro de sí, diciendo: Es porque no tomamos pan.
8 Y entendiéndolo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis dentro de vosotros, hombres de poca fe, que no tomasteis pan?
9 ¿No entendéis aún, ni os acordáis de los cinco panes de los cinco mil hombres, y cuántos cestos alzasteis?
10 ¿Ni de los siete panes de los cuatro mil, y cuántas canastas tomasteis?
11 ¿Cómo es que no entendéis que no por el pan os dije, que os guardaseis de la levadura de los fariseos y de los saduceos?
12 Entonces entendieron que no les había dicho que se guardaran de la levadura del pan, sino de la doctrina de los fariseos y de los saduceos.
13 ¶ Y viniendo Jesús a la región de Cesarea de Filipo, preguntó a sus discípulos, diciendo: ¿Quién dicen los hombres que es el Hijo del hombre?

18 Mas yo también te digo, que tú eres Pedro una piedra pequeña, y sobre la piedra grande edificaré mi Iglesia; y las puertas del Hades no prevalecerán contra ella.
19 Y a ti daré las llaves del Reino de los cielos; todo lo que ligares en la tierra será ligado en los cielos; y todo lo que desatares en la tierra será desatado en los cielos.
20 Entonces mandó a sus discípulos que a nadie dijeran que él era Jesús, el Cristo.
21 ¶ Desde aquel tiempo comenzó Jesús a declarar a sus discípulos que le convenía ir a Jerusalén, y padecer mucho de los ancianos, y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas; y ser muerto, y resucitar al tercer día.
22 Y Pedro, tomándolo aparte, comenzó a reprenderle, diciendo: Señor, lejos sea de ti; en ninguna manera esto te acontezca.
23 Entonces él, volviéndose, dijo a Pedro: Quítate de delante de mí, Satanás; me eres estorbo; porque no entiendes lo que es de Dios, sino lo que es de los hombres.
24 ¶ Entonces Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, y tome su madero, y sígame.
25 Porque cualquiera que quisiere salvar su vida, la perderá, y cualquiera que perdiere su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.
26 Porque ¿de qué aprovecha al hombre, si ganare todo el mundo, y perdiere su alma? O ¿qué recompensa dará el hombre por su alma?
27 Porque el Hijo del hombre vendrá en la gloria de su Padre con sus ángeles, y entonces pagará a cada uno conforme a sus obras.
28 De cierto os digo: hay algunos de los que están aquí, que no gustarán la muerte, hasta que hayan visto al Hijo del hombre viniendo en su Reino.

Die Pharisäer und Sadduzäer fordern ein Zeichen
16 Und die Pharisäer und Sadduzäer traten herzu, versuchten ihn und verlangten, dass er ihnen ein Zeichen aus dem Himmel zeigen möge.
2 Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Am Abend sagt ihr: Es wird schön, denn der Himmel ist rot!,
3 und am Morgen: Heute kommt ein Ungewitter, denn der Himmel ist rot und trübe! Ihr Heuchler, das Aussehen des Himmels versteht ihr zu beurteilen, die Zeichen der Zeit[a] aber nicht!
4 Ein böses und ehebrecherisches Geschlecht begehrt ein Zeichen, aber es wird ihm kein Zeichen gegeben werden als nur das Zeichen des Propheten Jona! Und er verließ sie und ging davon.
Warnung vor dem Sauerteig der Pharisäer und Sadduzäer
5 Als seine Jünger ans jenseitige Ufer kamen, hatten sie vergessen, Brot mitzunehmen.
6 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Habt acht und hütet euch vor dem Sauerteig der Pharisäer und Sadduzäer!
7 Da machten sie sich untereinander Gedanken und sagten: Weil wir kein Brot mitgenommen haben!
8 Als es aber Jesus merkte, sprach er zu ihnen: Ihr Kleingläubigen, was macht ihr euch Gedanken darüber, dass ihr kein Brot mitgenommen habt?
9 Versteht ihr noch nicht, und denkt ihr nicht an die fünf Brote für die Fünftausend, und wie viele Körbe ihr da aufgehoben habt?
10 Auch nicht an die sieben Brote für die Viertausend, und wie viele Körbe ihr da aufgehoben habt?
11 Warum versteht ihr denn nicht, dass ich euch nicht wegen des Brotes gesagt habe, dass ihr euch vor dem Sauerteig der Pharisäer und Sadduzäer hüten solltet?
12 Da sahen sie ein, dass er nicht gesagt hatte, sie sollten sich hüten vor dem Sauerteig des Brotes, sondern vor der Lehre der Pharisäer und Sadduzäer.
Das Bekenntnis des Petrus
13 Als aber Jesus in die Gegend von Cäsarea Philippi gekommen war, fragte er seine Jünger und sprach: Für wen halten die Leute mich, den Sohn des Menschen?
14 Sie sprachen: Etliche für Johannes den Täufer; andere aber für Elia; noch andere für Jeremia oder einen der Propheten.
15 Da spricht er zu ihnen: Ihr aber, für wen haltet ihr mich?
16 Da antwortete Simon Petrus und sprach: Du bist der Christus, der Sohn des lebendigen Gottes!
17 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Glückselig bist du, Simon, Sohn des Jona; denn Fleisch und Blut hat dir das nicht geoffenbart, sondern mein Vater im Himmel!
18 Und ich sage dir auch: Du bist Petrus, und auf diesen Felsen will ich meine Gemeinde bauen,[b] und die Pforten des Totenreiches sollen sie nicht überwältigen.
19 Und ich will dir die Schlüssel des Reiches der Himmel geben; und was du auf Erden binden wirst, das wird im Himmel gebunden sein; und was du auf Erden lösen wirst, das wird im Himmel gelöst sein.[c]
20 Da gebot er seinen Jüngern, dass sie niemand sagen sollten, dass er Jesus der Christus sei.[d]
Die erste Ankündigung von Jesu Leiden und Auferstehung
21 Von da an begann Jesus seinen Jüngern zu zeigen, dass er nach Jerusalem gehen und viel leiden müsse von den Ältesten, den obersten Priestern und Schriftgelehrten, und getötet werden und am dritten Tag auferweckt werden müsse.
22 Da nahm Petrus ihn beiseite und fing an, ihm zu wehren und sprach: Herr, schone dich selbst! Das widerfahre dir nur nicht!
23 Er aber wandte sich um und sprach zu Petrus: Weiche von mir, Satan! Du bist mir ein Ärgernis; denn du denkst nicht göttlich, sondern menschlich!
Über die Nachfolge
24 Da sprach Jesus zu seinen Jüngern: Wenn jemand mir nachkommen will, so verleugne er sich selbst und nehme sein Kreuz auf sich und folge mir nach!
25 Denn wer sein Leben[e] retten will, der wird es verlieren; wer aber sein Leben verliert um meinetwillen, der wird es finden.
26 Denn was hilft es dem Menschen, wenn er die ganze Welt gewinnt, aber sein Leben verliert? Oder was kann der Mensch als Lösegeld für sein Leben geben?
27 Denn der Sohn des Menschen wird in der Herrlichkeit seines Vaters mit seinen Engeln kommen, und dann wird er jedem Einzelnen vergelten nach seinem Tun.
28 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Es stehen einige hier, die den Tod nicht schmecken werden, bis sie den Sohn des Menschen haben kommen sehen in seinem Reich!
