Talaan ng mga Ninuno ni Jesu-Cristo(A)
1 Ito ang talaan ng mga ninuno ni Jesu-Cristo na mula sa angkan ni David na mula naman sa lahi ni Abraham.
2-6a Mula kay Abraham hanggang kay Haring David, ang mga ninuno ni Jesus ay sina: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob na ama ni Juda at ng kanyang mga kapatid; Juda na ama ni Fares at Zara kay Tamar; Fares, Esrom, Aram, Aminadab, Naason, Salmon, Boaz na anak ni Salmon kay Rahab; Obed na anak ni Boaz kay Ruth; at Jesse na ama ni Haring David.
6b-11 Mula(B) naman kay Haring David hanggang sa naging bihag ang mga taga-Juda sa Babilonia, ang mga ninuno ni Jesus ay sina: David, Solomon na anak ni Haring David sa asawa ni Urias, Rehoboam, Abias, Asa, Jehoshafat, Joram, Ozias, Jotam, Acaz, Ezequias, Manases, Ammon, Josias, Jeconias at ang mga kapatid nito.
12-16 At pagkatapos na sila'y maging bihag sa Babilonia hanggang sa ipanganak si Jesus, ang mga ninuno niya ay sina: Jeconias, Salatiel, Zerubabel, Abiud, Eliakim, Azor, Sadoc, Aquim, Eliud, Eleazar, Matan, Jacob, at si Jose na asawa ni Maria. Si Maria ang ina ni Jesus—ang tinatawag na Cristo.
17 Samakatuwid, may labing-apat na salinlahi mula kay Abraham hanggang kay David, labing-apat mula kay David hanggang sa pagkabihag ng mga Israelita sa Babilonia at labing-apat din mula sa pagkabihag sa Babilonia hanggang kay Cristo.
Isinilang si Jesu-Cristo(C)
18 Ito(D) ang naganap nang ipanganak si Jesu-Cristo. Si Maria na kanyang ina at si Jose ay nakatakda nang magpakasal. Ngunit bago sila makasal, nagdadalang-tao na si Maria sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ng Espiritu Santo. 19 Subalit dahil isang matuwid na tao si Jose na kanyang mapapangasawa, at ayaw nitong malagay sa kahihiyan si Maria, binalak niyang hiwalayan[a] si Maria nang palihim.
20 Ngunit habang pinag-iisipan ito ni Jose, nagpakita sa kanya sa panaginip ang isang anghel ng Panginoon. Sinabi nito sa kanya, “Jose, anak ni David, huwag kang matakot na pakasalan si Maria, sapagkat ang sanggol na dinadala niya ay mula sa Espiritu Santo. 21 Magsisilang(E) siya ng isang batang lalaki at Jesus ang ipapangalan mo sa sanggol sapagkat ililigtas niya ang kanyang bayan sa kanilang mga kasalanan.”
22 Nangyari nga ang lahat ng ito upang matupad ang sinabi ng Panginoon sa pamamagitan ng propeta,
23 “Maglilihi(F) ang isang birhen at magsisilang ng isang sanggol na lalaki,
at tatawagin itong Emmanuel”
(ang kahulugan nito'y “Kasama natin ang Diyos”).
24 Nang magising si Jose, sinunod niya ang utos ng anghel ng Panginoon at pinakasalan niya si Maria. 25 Ngunit(G) hindi niya sinipingan si Maria hanggang magsilang ito ng isang anak na lalaki. At Jesus nga ang ipinangalan ni Jose sa sanggol.

3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar,(I)
Perez the father of Hezron,
Hezron the father of Ram,
4 Ram the father of Amminadab,
Amminadab the father of Nahshon,
Nahshon the father of Salmon,
5 Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab,(J)

11 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah[c] and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.(N)
12 After the exile to Babylon:
Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,(O)
Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,(P)
13 Zerubbabel the father of Abihud,
Abihud the father of Eliakim,
Eliakim the father of Azor,
14 Azor the father of Zadok,
Zadok the father of Akim,
Akim the father of Elihud,
15 Elihud the father of Eleazar,
Eleazar the father of Matthan,
Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary,(Q) and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.(R)
17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.
Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.(S) 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce(T) her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel(U) of the Lord appeared to him in a dream(V) and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f](W) because he will save his people from their sins.”(X)
22 All this took place to fulfill(Y) what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g](Z) (which means “God with us”).
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel(AA) of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.(AB)

1 इब्राहीम के वंशज दाऊद के पुत्र यीशु मसीह की वंशावली इस प्रकार है:
2 इब्राहीम का पुत्र था इसहाक
और इसहाक का पुत्र हुआ याकूब।
फिर याकूब से यहूदा
और उसके भाई उत्पन्न हुए।
3 यहूदा के बेटे थे फिरिस और जोरह। (उनकी माँ का नाम तामार था।)
फिरिस, हिस्रोन का पिता था।
हिस्रोन राम का पिता था।
4 राम अम्मीनादाब का पिता था।
अम्मीनादाब से नहशोन
और नहशोन से सलमोन का जन्म हुआ।
5 सलमोन से बोअज का जन्म हुआ। (बोअज की माँ का नाम राहब था।)
बोअज और रूथ से ओबेद पैदा हुआ,
ओबेद यिशै का पिता था।
6 और यिशै से राजा दाऊद पैदा हुआ।
सुलैमान दाऊद का पुत्र था (जो उस स्त्री से जन्मा जो पहले उरिय्याह की पत्नी थी।)
7 सुलैमान रहबाम का पिता था।
और रहबाम अबिय्याह का पिता था।
अबिय्याह से आसा का जन्म हुआ।
8 और आसा यहोशाफात का पिता बना।

11 फिर इस्राएल के लोगों को बंदी बना कर बेबिलोन ले जाते समय योशिय्याह से यकुन्याह और उसके भाईयों ने जन्म लिया।
12 बेबिलोन में ले जाये जाने के बाद यकुन्याह
शालतिएल का पिता बना।
और फिर शालतिएल से जरुब्बाबिल।
13 तथा जरुब्बाबिल से अबीहूद पैदा हुए।
अबीहूद इल्याकीम का
और इल्याकीम अजोर का पिता बना।
14 अजोर सदोक का पिता था।
सदोक से अखीम
और अखीम से इलीहूद पैदा हुए।
15 इलीहूद इलियाजार का पिता था
और इलियाजार मत्तान का।
मत्तान याकूब का पिता बना।
16 और याकूब से यूसुफ पैदा हुआ।
जो मरियम का पति था।
मरियम से यीशु का जन्म हुआ जो मसीह कहलाया।
17 इस प्रकार इब्राहीम से दाऊद तक चौदह पीढ़ियाँ हुईं। और दाऊद से लेकर बंदी बना कर बाबुल पहुँचाये जाने तक की चौदह पीढ़ियाँ, तथा बंदी बना कर बाबुल पहुँचाये जाने से मसीह के जन्म तक चौदह पीढ़ियाँ और हुईं।
यीशु मसीह का जन्म
(लूका 2:1-7)
18 यीशु मसीह का जन्म इस प्रकार हुआ: जब उसकी माता मरियम की यूसुफ के साथ सगाई हुई तो विवाह होने से पहले ही पता चला कि (वह पवित्र आत्मा की शक्ति से गर्भवती है।) 19 किन्तु उसका भावी पति यूसुफ एक अच्छा व्यक्ति था और इसे प्रकट करके लोगों में उसे बदनाम करना नहीं चाहता था। इसलिये उसने निश्चय किया कि चुपके से वह सगाई तोड़ दे।
20 किन्तु जब वह इस बारे में सोच ही रहा था, सपने में उसके सामने प्रभु के दूत ने प्रकट होकर उससे कहा, “ओ! दाऊद के पुत्र यूसुफ, मरियम को पत्नी बनाने से मत डर क्य़ोंकि जो बच्चा उसके गर्भ में है, वह पवित्र आत्मा की ओर से है। 21 वह एक पुत्र को जन्म देगी। तू उसका नाम यीशु रखना क्य़ोंकि वह अपने लोगों को उनके पापों से उद्धार करेगा।”
22 यह सब कुछ इसलिये हुआ है कि प्रभु ने भविष्यवक्ता द्वारा जो कुछ कहा था, पूरा हो: 23 “सुनो, एक कुँवारी कन्या गर्भवती होकर एक पुत्र को जन्म देगी। उसका नाम इम्मानुएल रखा जायेगा।”(A) (जिसका अर्थ है “परमेश्वर हमारे साथ है।”)
24 जब यूसुफ नींद से जागा तो उसने वही किया जिसे करने की प्रभु के दूत ने उसे आज्ञा दी थी। वह मरियम को ब्याह कर अपने घर ले आया। 25 किन्तु जब तक उसने पुत्र को जन्म नहीं दे दिया, वह उसके साथ नहीं सोया। यूसुफ ने बेटे का नाम यीशु रखा।

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Christ Born of Mary(Y)
