Despre judecăţile aspre. Bârna şi paiul. Lucrurile sfinte
7 Nu(A) judecaţi, ca să nu fiţi judecaţi. 2 Căci cu ce judecată judecaţi, veţi fi judecaţi; şi(B) cu ce măsură măsuraţi, vi se va măsura. 3 De(C) ce vezi tu paiul din ochiul fratelui tău şi nu te uiţi cu băgare de seamă la bârna din ochiul tău? 4 Sau cum poţi zice fratelui tău: ‘Lasă-mă să scot paiul din ochiul tău’, şi, când colo, tu ai o bârnă într-al tău? 5 Făţarnicule, scoate întâi bârna din ochiul tău, şi atunci vei vedea desluşit să scoţi paiul din ochiul fratelui tău. 6 Să nu(D) daţi câinilor lucrurile sfinte şi să nu aruncaţi mărgăritarele voastre înaintea porcilor, ca nu cumva să le calce în picioare şi să se întoarcă să vă rupă.
Stăruinţa în rugăciune
7 Cereţi(E), şi vi se va da; căutaţi, şi veţi găsi; bateţi, şi vi se va deschide. 8 Căci oricine(F) cere capătă; cine caută găseşte; şi celui ce bate, i se deschide. 9 Cine(G) este omul acela dintre voi care, dacă-i cere fiul său o pâine, să-i dea o piatră? 10 Sau, dacă-i cere un peşte, să-i dea un şarpe? 11 Deci, dacă voi, care(H) sunteţi răi, ştiţi să daţi daruri bune copiilor voştri, cu cât mai mult Tatăl vostru, care este în ceruri, va da lucruri bune celor ce I le cer! 12 Tot ce(I) voiţi să vă facă vouă oamenii, faceţi-le şi voi la fel; căci în aceasta(J) sunt cuprinse Legea şi Prorocii.
Poarta cea strâmtă
13 Intraţi(K) pe poarta cea strâmtă. Căci largă este poarta, lată este calea care duce la pierzare şi mulţi sunt cei ce intră pe ea. 14 Dar strâmtă este poarta, îngustă este calea care duce la viaţă şi puţini sunt cei ce o află.
Prorocii mincinoşi
15 Păziţi-vă(L) de proroci mincinoşi. Ei(M) vin la voi îmbrăcaţi în haine de oi, dar pe dinăuntru sunt nişte lupi răpitori. 16 Îi veţi cunoaşte după(N) roadele lor. Culeg(O) oamenii struguri din spini sau smochine din mărăcini? 17 Tot aşa, orice(P) pom bun face roade bune, dar pomul rău face roade rele. 18 Pomul bun nu poate face roade rele, nici pomul rău nu poate face roade bune. 19 Orice(Q) pom care nu face roade bune este tăiat şi aruncat în foc. 20 Aşa că după roadele lor îi veţi cunoaşte.
Casa zidită pe stâncă
21 Nu oricine-Mi zice: ‘Doamne(R), Doamne!’ va intra în Împărăţia cerurilor, ci cel ce face voia Tatălui Meu, care este în ceruri. 22 Mulţi Îmi vor zice în ziua aceea: ‘Doamne, Doamne! N-am(S) prorocit noi în Numele Tău? N-am scos noi draci în Numele Tău? Şi n-am făcut noi multe minuni în Numele Tău?’ 23 Atunci(T), le voi spune curat: ‘Niciodată nu v-am cunoscut; depărtaţi-vă(U) de la Mine, voi toţi care lucraţi fărădelege’. 24 De aceea, pe oricine(V) aude aceste cuvinte ale Mele şi le face, îl voi asemăna cu un om cu judecată, care şi-a zidit casa pe stâncă. 25 A dat ploaia, au venit şuvoaiele, au suflat vânturile şi au bătut în casa aceea, dar ea nu s-a prăbuşit, pentru că avea temelia zidită pe stâncă. 26 Însă oricine aude aceste cuvinte ale Mele şi nu le face va fi asemănat cu un om nechibzuit, care şi-a zidit casa pe nisip. 27 A dat ploaia, au venit şuvoaiele, au suflat vânturile şi au izbit în casa aceea: ea s-a prăbuşit, şi prăbuşirea i-a fost mare.” 28 După ce a sfârşit Isus cuvântările acestea, noroadele au rămas uimite(W) de învăţătura Lui; 29 căci(X) El îi învăţa ca unul care avea putere, nu cum îi învăţau cărturarii lor.

7 «Non giudicate, affinché non siate giudicati.
2 Perché sarete giudicati secondo il giudizio col quale giudicate, e con la misura con cui misurate, sarà pure misurato a voi
3 Perché guardi la pagliuzza che è nell'occhio di tuo fratello e non ti accorgi della trave che è nel tuo occhio?
4 Ovvero, come puoi dire a tuo fratello: "Lascia che ti tolga dall'occhio la pagliuzza", mentre c'è una trave nel tuo occhio?
5 Ipocrita, togli prima dal tuo occhio la trave e poi ci vedrai bene per togliere la pagliuzza dall'occhio di tuo fratello.
6 Non date ciò che è santo ai cani e non gettate le vostre perle davanti ai porci, perché non le calpestino con i piedi e poi si rivoltino per sbranarvi.
7 Chiedete e vi sarà dato; cercate e troverete, bussate e vi sarà aperto.
8 Perché chiunque chiede riceve, chi cerca trova e sarà aperto a chi bussa.
9 Vi è tra voi qualche uomo che, se suo figlio gli chiede del pane, gli darà una pietra?
10 O se gli chiede un pesce, gli darà una serpe?
11 Se dunque voi, che siete malvagi, sapete dare buoni doni ai vostri figli, quanto piú il Padre vostro, che è nei cieli, darà cose buone a coloro che gliele chiedono.
12 Tutte le cose dunque che voi volete che gli uomini vi facciano, fatele anche voi a loro, perché questa è la legge ed i profeti.
13 Entrate per la porta stretta, perché larga è la porta e spaziosa la via che conduce alla perdizione, e molti sono coloro che entrano per essa.
14 Quanto stretta è invece la porta e angusta la via che conduce alla vita! E pochi sono coloro che la trovano!
15 Guardatevi dai falsi profeti, i quali vengono a voi in veste di pecore, ma dentro sono lupi rapaci
16 Voi li riconoscerete dai loro frutti. Si raccoglie uva dalle spine o fichi dai rovi?
17 Cosí, ogni albero buono produce frutti buoni; ma l'albero cattivo produce frutti cattivi.
18 Un albero buono non può dare frutti cattivi, né un albero cattivo dare frutti buoni.
19 Ogni albero che non dà buon frutto è tagliato, e gettato nel fuoco.
20 Voi dunque li riconoscerete dai loro frutti.
21 Non chiunque mi dice: "Signore, Signore" entrerà nel regno dei cieli; ma chi fa la volontà del Padre mio che è nei cieli.
22 Molti mi diranno in quel giorno: "Signore, Signore, non abbiamo noi profetizzato nel tuo nome, e nel tuo nome scacciato demoni e fatte nel tuo nome molte opere potenti?"
23 E allora dichiarerò loro: "Io non vi ho mai conosciuti; allontanatevi da me, voi tutti operatori di iniquità".
24 Perciò, chiunque ascolta queste mie parole e le mette in pratica, io lo paragono ad un uomo avveduto, che ha edificato la sua casa sopra la roccia.
25 Cadde la pioggia, vennero le inondazioni, soffiarono i venti e si abbatterono su quella casa; essa però non crollò, perché era fondata sopra la roccia.
26 Chiunque invece ode queste parole non le mette in pratica, sarà paragonato ad un uomo stolto, che ha edificato la sua casa sulla sabbia.
27 Cadde poi la pioggia, vennero le inondazioni, soffiarono i venti e si abbatterono su quella casa; essa crollò e la sua rovina fu grande».
28 Ora, quando Gesú ebbe finito questi discorsi, le folle stupivano della sua dottrina,
29 perché egli le ammaestrava, come, uno che ha autorità e non come gli scribi.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Ask, Seek, Knock(D)
7 “Ask and it will be given to you;(E) seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;(F) and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts(G) to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,(H) for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.(I)

13 “Enter through the narrow gate.(J) For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
True and False Prophets
15 “Watch out for false prophets.(K) They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.(L) 16 By their fruit you will recognize them.(M) Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?(N) 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.(O) 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.(P) 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’(Q) will enter the kingdom of heaven,(R) but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.(S) 22 Many will say to me on that day,(T) ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’(U) 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’(V)
The Wise and Foolish Builders(W)
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice(X) is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things,(Y) the crowds were amazed at his teaching,(Z) 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

7 “Stop judging, so that you may not be judged. 2 For with the judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the beam in your own eye? 4 Or how will you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, the beam is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls before pigs; otherwise they will trample them under their feet, then turn and rip you to shreds.
7 “Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it shall be opened.
9 “For what man among you, when his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or when he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12 So in all things, do to others what you would want them to do to you—for this is the Torah and the Prophets.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. 14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the way that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”
Judging the Fruit
15 “Watch out for false prophets,[a] who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes aren’t gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles, are they? 17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the rotten tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will recognize them by their fruit.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”[b]
Building on a Firm Foundation
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house; and yet it did not fall, for its foundation had been built on the rock. 26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”
28 Now when Yeshua had finished these words, the crowds were astounded at His teaching, 29 for He was teaching them as one having authority and not as their Torah scholars.
