Despre judecăţile aspre. Bârna şi paiul. Lucrurile sfinte
7 Nu(A) judecaţi, ca să nu fiţi judecaţi. 2 Căci cu ce judecată judecaţi, veţi fi judecaţi; şi(B) cu ce măsură măsuraţi, vi se va măsura. 3 De(C) ce vezi tu paiul din ochiul fratelui tău şi nu te uiţi cu băgare de seamă la bârna din ochiul tău? 4 Sau cum poţi zice fratelui tău: ‘Lasă-mă să scot paiul din ochiul tău’, şi, când colo, tu ai o bârnă într-al tău? 5 Făţarnicule, scoate întâi bârna din ochiul tău, şi atunci vei vedea desluşit să scoţi paiul din ochiul fratelui tău. 6 Să nu(D) daţi câinilor lucrurile sfinte şi să nu aruncaţi mărgăritarele voastre înaintea porcilor, ca nu cumva să le calce în picioare şi să se întoarcă să vă rupă.
Stăruinţa în rugăciune
7 Cereţi(E), şi vi se va da; căutaţi, şi veţi găsi; bateţi, şi vi se va deschide. 8 Căci oricine(F) cere capătă; cine caută găseşte; şi celui ce bate, i se deschide. 9 Cine(G) este omul acela dintre voi care, dacă-i cere fiul său o pâine, să-i dea o piatră? 10 Sau, dacă-i cere un peşte, să-i dea un şarpe? 11 Deci, dacă voi, care(H) sunteţi răi, ştiţi să daţi daruri bune copiilor voştri, cu cât mai mult Tatăl vostru, care este în ceruri, va da lucruri bune celor ce I le cer! 12 Tot ce(I) voiţi să vă facă vouă oamenii, faceţi-le şi voi la fel; căci în aceasta(J) sunt cuprinse Legea şi Prorocii.
Poarta cea strâmtă
13 Intraţi(K) pe poarta cea strâmtă. Căci largă este poarta, lată este calea care duce la pierzare şi mulţi sunt cei ce intră pe ea. 14 Dar strâmtă este poarta, îngustă este calea care duce la viaţă şi puţini sunt cei ce o află.
Prorocii mincinoşi
15 Păziţi-vă(L) de proroci mincinoşi. Ei(M) vin la voi îmbrăcaţi în haine de oi, dar pe dinăuntru sunt nişte lupi răpitori. 16 Îi veţi cunoaşte după(N) roadele lor. Culeg(O) oamenii struguri din spini sau smochine din mărăcini? 17 Tot aşa, orice(P) pom bun face roade bune, dar pomul rău face roade rele. 18 Pomul bun nu poate face roade rele, nici pomul rău nu poate face roade bune. 19 Orice(Q) pom care nu face roade bune este tăiat şi aruncat în foc. 20 Aşa că după roadele lor îi veţi cunoaşte.
Casa zidită pe stâncă
21 Nu oricine-Mi zice: ‘Doamne(R), Doamne!’ va intra în Împărăţia cerurilor, ci cel ce face voia Tatălui Meu, care este în ceruri. 22 Mulţi Îmi vor zice în ziua aceea: ‘Doamne, Doamne! N-am(S) prorocit noi în Numele Tău? N-am scos noi draci în Numele Tău? Şi n-am făcut noi multe minuni în Numele Tău?’ 23 Atunci(T), le voi spune curat: ‘Niciodată nu v-am cunoscut; depărtaţi-vă(U) de la Mine, voi toţi care lucraţi fărădelege’. 24 De aceea, pe oricine(V) aude aceste cuvinte ale Mele şi le face, îl voi asemăna cu un om cu judecată, care şi-a zidit casa pe stâncă. 25 A dat ploaia, au venit şuvoaiele, au suflat vânturile şi au bătut în casa aceea, dar ea nu s-a prăbuşit, pentru că avea temelia zidită pe stâncă. 26 Însă oricine aude aceste cuvinte ale Mele şi nu le face va fi asemănat cu un om nechibzuit, care şi-a zidit casa pe nisip. 27 A dat ploaia, au venit şuvoaiele, au suflat vânturile şi au izbit în casa aceea: ea s-a prăbuşit, şi prăbuşirea i-a fost mare.” 28 După ce a sfârşit Isus cuvântările acestea, noroadele au rămas uimite(W) de învăţătura Lui; 29 căci(X) El îi învăţa ca unul care avea putere, nu cum îi învăţau cărturarii lor.

El juzgar a los demás(A)
7 »No juzguen para que nadie los juzgue a ustedes. 2 Porque tal como juzguen se les juzgará, y con la medida que midan a otros, se les medirá a ustedes.
3 »¿Por qué te fijas en la astilla que tiene tu hermano en el ojo y no le das importancia a la viga que está en el tuyo? 4 ¿Cómo puedes decirle a tu hermano: “Déjame sacarte la astilla del ojo”, cuando ahí tienes una viga en el tuyo? 5 ¡Hipócrita!, saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, entonces verás con claridad para sacar la astilla del ojo de tu hermano.
6 »No den lo sagrado a los perros, no sea que se vuelvan contra ustedes y los despedacen; ni echen sus perlas a los cerdos, no sea que las pisoteen.
Pidan, busquen, llamen(B)
7 »Pidan y se les dará; busquen y encontrarán; llamen y se les abrirá. 8 Porque todo el que pide, recibe; el que busca, encuentra y al que llama, se le abre.
9 »¿Quién de ustedes, si su hijo pide pan, le da una piedra? 10 ¿O si pide un pescado, le da una serpiente? 11 Pues si ustedes, aun siendo malos, saben dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, ¡cuánto más su Padre que está en los cielos dará cosas buenas a los que le pidan! 12 Así que en todo traten ustedes a los demás tal y como quieren que ellos los traten a ustedes. De hecho, esto es la Ley y los Profetas.
La puerta estrecha y la puerta ancha
13 »Entren por la puerta estrecha. Porque es ancha la puerta y espacioso el camino que conduce a la destrucción, y muchos entran por ella. 14 Pero estrecha es la puerta y angosto el camino que conduce a la vida, y son pocos los que la encuentran.
El árbol y sus frutos
15 »Cuídense de los falsos profetas. Vienen a ustedes disfrazados de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos feroces. 16 Por sus frutos los conocerán. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos o higos de los cardos? 17 Del mismo modo, todo árbol bueno da fruto bueno, pero el árbol malo da fruto malo. 18 Un árbol bueno no puede dar fruto malo y un árbol malo no puede dar fruto bueno. 19 Todo árbol que no da buen fruto se corta y se arroja al fuego. 20 Así que por sus frutos los conocerán.
21 »No todo el que me dice: “Señor, Señor”, entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino solo el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en el cielo. 22 Muchos me dirán en aquel día: “Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en tu nombre y en tu nombre expulsamos demonios e hicimos muchos milagros?”. 23 Entonces les diré claramente: “Jamás los conocí. ¡Aléjense de mí, hacedores de maldad!”.
El prudente y el insensato(C)
24 »Por tanto, todo el que me oye estas palabras y las pone en práctica es como un hombre prudente que construyó su casa sobre la roca. 25 Cayeron las lluvias, crecieron los ríos, soplaron los vientos y azotaron aquella casa; con todo, la casa no se derrumbó porque estaba cimentada sobre la roca. 26 Pero todo el que oye mis palabras y no las pone en práctica es como un hombre insensato que construyó su casa sobre la arena. 27 Cayeron las lluvias, crecieron los ríos, soplaron los vientos y azotaron aquella casa. Esta se derrumbó y grande fue su ruina».
28 Cuando Jesús terminó de decir estas cosas, las multitudes se asombraron de su enseñanza, 29 porque enseñaba como quien tenía autoridad y no como los maestros de la Ley.

7 1 We may not give judgment of our neighbors, 6 Nor cast that which is holy unto dogs. 13 The broad and strait way. 15 False prophets. 18 The tree and fruit. 24 The house built on a rock, 26 and on the sand.
1 Judge [a]not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what (A)judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with what (B)measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you again.
3 And why seest thou the mote, that is in thy brother’s eye, and perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 (C)Or how sayest thou to thy brother, Suffer me to cast out the mote out of thine eye, and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Hypocrite, first cast out that beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6 ¶ [b]Give ye not that which is holy to dogs, neither cast ye your [c]pearls before swine, lest they tread them under their feet, and turning again, all to rent you.
7 ¶ (D)[d]Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
8 For whosoever asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
9 For what man is there among you, which if his son ask him bread, would give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, which are evil, can give to your children good gifts, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him?
12 (E)[e]Therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do to you: even so do ye to them: for this is the [f]Law and the Prophets.
13 ¶ (F)[g]Enter in at the strait gate: for it is the wide gate, and broad way that leadeth to destruction: and many there be which go in thereat.
14 Because [h]the gate is strait, and the way narrow that leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 ¶ [i]Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. (G)Do men gather grapes of thorns? or figs of thistles?
17 So every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 (H)Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 ¶ [j]Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, (I)but he that doeth my Father’s will which is in heaven.
22 (J)Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not by thy [k]Name prophesied, and by thy name cast out devils? and by thy name done many [l]great works?
23 And then will I profess to them, (K)[m]I never knew you, (L)depart from me [n]ye that work iniquity.
24 [o]Whosoever then heareth of me these words, (M)and doeth the same, I will liken him to a wise man, which hath builded his house on a rock:
25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not: for it was grounded on a rock,
26 But whosoever heareth these my words, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which hath builded his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and the fall thereof was great.
28 ¶ (N)And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these words, the people were astonished at his doctrine.
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the Scribes.
