Jesus kallar en skatteindrivare till lärjunge
13 Sedan vandrade Jesus vidare längs Galileiska sjön och predikade för folkmassorna som följde med honom.
14 När han gick där fick han se Levi, Alfaios son, sitta vid tullkontoret. Kom och bli min lärjunge, sa Jesus till honom. Och Levi reste sig och följde med honom.
15 Samma kväll ordnade Levi med en fest. Han bjöd inte bara Jesus och hans lärjungar, utan också många av sina gamla kollegor vid tullen och en hel del personer med dåligt rykte. Många av dem hade nämligen blivit vänner till Jesus.

13 ¶ And he went again unto the sea; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15 And it came to pass, that as Jesus sat at the table in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also at the table together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many and they had followed him.

Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners(A)
13 Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to him,(B) and he began to teach them. 14 As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(C) Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.
15 While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him.
