Jesus Walks on the Sea^(A)

^45 (B)Immediately He ^[a]made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. ⁴⁶ And when He had sent them away, He ^(C)departed to the mountain to pray. ⁴⁷ Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. ⁴⁸ Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and ^(D)would have passed them by. ⁴⁹ And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ^(E)ghost, and cried out; ⁵⁰ for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, ^(F)“Be^[b] of good cheer! It is I; do not be ^(G)afraid.” ⁵¹ Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ^(H)ceased. And they were greatly ^(I)amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled. ⁵² For ^(J)they had not understood about the loaves, because their ^(K)heart was hardened.

Many Touch Him and Are Made Well^(L)

^53 (M)When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. ⁵⁴ And when they came out of the boat, immediately ^[c]the people recognized Him, ⁵⁵ ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. ⁵⁶ Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that ^(N)they might just touch the ^(O)hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

Ten Lepers Cleansed

¹¹ Now it happened ^(A)as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. ¹² Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, ^(B)who stood afar off. ¹³ And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴ So when He saw them, He said to them, ^(C)“Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice ^(D)glorified God, ¹⁶ and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a ^(E)Samaritan.

¹⁷ So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” ^19 (F)And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial^(A)

^31 [a]And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, ^(B)Satan has asked for you, that he may ^(C)sift you as wheat. ³² But ^(D)I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, ^(E)strengthen your brethren.”

^38 (A)Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your ^(B)bosom. For ^(C)with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking^(A)

^7 (B)“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ⁸ For ^(C)everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. ^9 (D)Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? ¹¹ If you then, ^(E)being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

^9 (A)The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but ^(B)is longsuffering toward ^[a]us, ^(C)not willing that any should perish but ^(D)that all should come to repentance.

²⁰ Now ^(A)to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly ^(B)above all that we ask or think, ^(C)according to the power that works in us,
