種まきをする農家の話
（マタイ13:1-9; ルカ8:4-8）
4 イエスはまた別の時に、湖のほとりで教え始めた。そこでは大勢の人が彼の周りに集まった。湖の方から座って教えられるようにと、イエスは小舟に乗った。そして人々は水ぎわの岸に残っていた。 2 イエスは、物語を使って多くのことを彼らに教えた。その中の教えの1つにこのような話があった。
3 「聞いてくれ！農夫が種まきに出かけたんだ。 4 彼が種をまくと、いくつかの種が道ばたに落ちた。するとどうだ。そこに鳥たちがやって来て、その種を全て食べてしまった。 5 他の種は、土の足りない岩だらけの地へ落ちた。すぐに発芽したが土が深くなかったので、 6 太陽が昇るとその植物は枯れてしまった。深い根を張っていなかったために死んでしまったのだ。 7 他の種はトゲのある雑草が植わった土地の中に落ちた。雑草が育ち密集すると、良い植物を窒息させた。こうして、その植物は実を結ぶことができなかった。
8 だが、ある一部の種は良い地に落ちた！すると、その植物は成長し実をつけた！ある種は30倍、60倍、100倍もの実を結んだのだ！」
9 そして、イエスはこう言った。「私のことばが聞こえる人たちは、聞きなさい！」

神の国のたとえ話
4 イエスが湖のほとりで教えておられると、またもや多くの群衆が集まって来ました。それでイエスは小舟に乗り、そこに腰をおろして、お話しになりました。 2 イエスが人々に教えられる時には、たとえ話を使うのが普通でしたが、この日の話は次のようなものでした。
3 「よく聞きなさい。農夫が種まきをしました。畑に種をまいていると、 4 ある種はあぜ道に落ちました。すると鳥が来て、その種を食べてしまいました。 5 別の種は土の浅い石地に落ちました。初めは勢いよく成長した種も、 6 土が浅いため、根から十分養分を取ることができず、強い日差しの中で、すぐに枯れてしまいました。 7 また、いばらの中に落ちた種もありましたが、いばらが茂って成長をはばみ、結局、実を結べませんでした。 8 けれども中には、良い地に落ちた種もありました。その種は、三十倍、六十倍、いや百倍もの収穫をあげることができたのです。 9 聞く耳のある人はよく聞きなさい。」

The Parable of the Sower(A)(B)
4 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake.(C) The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables,(D) and in his teaching said: 3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.(E) 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”(F)
9 Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”(G)

4 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
