23 Apre sa, yon jou saba, Jezi t ap pase nan yon jaden ble. Disip li yo ranmase kèk zepi ble pou yo manje. 24 Kèk Farizyen di Jezi: “Pouki sa n ap fè sa lalwa pa pèmèt nan jou repo a?”
25 Jezi reponn yo: “Èske nou pa li kisa David te fè, lè li menm ak moun ki te avèk li yo te grangou, yo te bezwen manje? 26 Li te antre nan tanp Bondye a, lè Abyata te gran prèt, li pran pen yo te ofri bay Bondye yo, li manje epi li bay mesye ki te ak li yo tou, epi se prèt yo sèlman ki te gen dwa manje pen sa yo.”
27 Jezi di yo ankò: “Saba te fèt pou moun, men se pa moun ki te fèt pou saba, 28 konsa, Pitit Lòm nan se chèf jou repo a.”

24 Farizyen yo di li konsa: -Gade non! Poukisa disip ou yo ap fè bagay lalwa nou pa pèmèt moun fè gwo jou repo a?
25 Jezi reponn yo: -Eske nou pa janm li sa David te fè yon lè li te bezwen manje pou li menm ak pou moun pa l' yo ki te grangou?
26 Sa te pase sou tan Abyata te granprèt. Nou chonje? Li antre nan kay Bondye a, li manje nan pen yo te ofri bay Bondye a. Dapre lalwa nou an, se prèt yo sèlman ki gen dwa manje pen sa yo. Malgre sa, David te pran ladan yo, li te bay moun pa l' yo manje tou.
27 Jezi di yo ankò: -Jou repo a te fèt pou moun; se pa moun ki te fèt pou jou repo a.
28 Konsa tou, mwen menm, Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a, mwen se mèt repo a.

Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath(A)(B)
23 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain.(C) 24 The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”(D)
25 He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? 26 In the days of Abiathar the high priest,(E) he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat.(F) And he also gave some to his companions.”(G)
27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man,(H) not man for the Sabbath.(I) 28 So the Son of Man(J) is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
