Lewi (Matius) mengikuti Yesus
(Mat 9:9-13; Luk 5:27-32)
13 Yesus pergi lagi ke tepi danau. Banyak orang datang mengelilingi-Nya, lalu Yesus mulai mengajar mereka. 14 Ketika Yesus berjalan, Ia melihat seorang yang bernama Lewi, anak Alfeus sedang duduk di tempat di mana ia memungut pajak. Yesus berkata kepada Lewi, “Ikutlah Aku.” Lewi berdiri dan mengikuti Yesus.
15 Setelah itu, Yesus makan di rumah Lewi. Banyak pemungut pajak dan orang-orang yang martabatnya buruk telah menjadi pengikut Yesus. Jadi, mereka semuanya ini sedang makan bersama Yesus dan pengikut-Nya. 16 Ketika beberapa guru Taurat dari golongan Farisi melihat Yesus sedang makan bersama orang-orang berdosa itu, mereka bertanya kepada pengikut-Nya, “Mengapa Ia makan dengan pemungut pajak dan orang-orang berdosa?”
17 Ketika Yesus mendengar itu, Ia berkata kepada mereka, “Orang-orang sakitlah yang memerlukan dokter, bukan mereka yang sehat. Aku datang untuk memanggil orang-orang berdosa mengikuti Aku, bukan mereka yang melakukan semuanya dengan benar.”

13 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

13 (B)Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them. 14 (C)As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, (D)“Follow Me.” So he arose and (E)followed Him.
15 (F)Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. 16 And when the scribes [a]and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, (G)“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, [b]to repentance.”
