Foul la vin kote Pilat epi yo mande l pou l lage yon prizonye jan l te konn abitye fè sa. Pilat reponn yo, li di: “Èske nou ta vle m lage wa Jwif la ban nou?” 10 Pilat te di sa, paske li konnen se jalouzi ki fè chèf prèt yo te livre Jezi nan men l. 11 Men chèf prèt te pouse foul la mande lage Barabas ba yo pito.

12 Konsa Pilat mande pèp la ankò: “Kisa menm nou ta vle m fè ak nonm sa a nou rele wa Jwif yo?”

13 Yo pran rele byen fò: “Kloure l sou yon kwa!”

14 Men Pilate di yo: “Men Poukisa? Ki krim li fè?” Men foul la pran krye pi fò toujou: “Kloure l sou yon kwa!”

15 Nan sousi pou fè foul la plezi, Pilat lage Barabas. Epi li livre Jezi bay sòlda pou y al krisifye l, apre l te fin fè yo bat li byen bat.

12 “What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them.

13 “Crucify him!” they shouted.

14 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

15 Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged,(C) and handed him over to be crucified.
