⁵ And Peter said to Jesus, ^(A)“Rabbi,^[a] it is good that we are here. Let us make three ^(B)tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

^3 (A)No longer will there be anything accursed, but ^(B)the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and ^(C)his servants will worship him. ^4 (D)They will see his face, and ^(E)his name will be on their foreheads.

^23 (A)I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is ^(B)to depart and ^(C)be with Christ, for that is far better.

^21 (A)Whoever has my commandments and ^(B)keeps them, he it is who loves me. ^8 (A)Philip said to him, “Lord, ^(B)show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” ⁹ Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? ^(C)Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

¹⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, ^(A)for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” ¹⁸ Moses said, “Please ^(B)show me your glory.” ¹⁹ And he said, ^(C)“I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And ^(D)I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. ²⁰ But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for ^(E)man shall not see me and live.” ²¹ And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, ²² and while my glory passes by I will put you in a ^(F)cleft of the rock, and I will ^(G)cover you with my hand until I have passed by. ²³ Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall ^(H)not be seen.”
