Jesus Again Foretells Death, Resurrection

^30 (A)They went on from there and passed through Galilee. And he did not want anyone to know,

⁴³ And all were astonished at ^(A)the majesty of God.

Jesus Again Foretells His Death

^(B)But while they were all marveling at everything he was doing, Jesus^[a] said ^(C)to his disciples, ⁴⁴ “Let these words sink into your ears: ^(D)The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” ^45 (E)But they did not understand this saying, and ^(F)it was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

^22 (A)As they were gathering^[a] in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, ²³ and they will kill him, and he will be raised on ^(B)the third day.” And they were greatly distressed.

³¹ And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and ^(A)they had no leisure even to eat. ^32 (B)And they went away in ^(C)the boat to a desolate place by themselves.

²² Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” ^(A)They all said, “Let him be crucified!” ²³ And he said, “Why? ^(B)What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”
