11 Then they began to question Him, “Why do the scribes(B) say that Elijah must come first?”(C)
12 “Elijah does come first and restores(D) everything,”(E) He replied. “How then is it written(F) about the Son of Man that He must suffer(G) many things and be treated with contempt?(H)

12 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah does come first, and restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man(A) must suffer much(B) and be rejected?(C)
