9 ¹ And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the kingdom of God has come with^[a] power.”^(A)

²⁷ Indeed, truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”^(A)

³⁰ Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place.^(A)

⁹ but we do see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower^[a] than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God^[b] he might taste death for everyone.^(A)

³⁰ so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.^(A)

The Judgment of the Nations

³¹ “When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.^(A)

⁵¹ Very truly, I tell you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.”^{(A) 52} The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and so did the prophets, yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’^(B)

¹⁸ for I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

²⁶ It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.^[a](A)
