Elisha Feeds One Hundred Men(A)

42 Then a man came from (B)Baal Shalisha, (C)and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the people, that they may eat.”

43 But his servant said, (D)“What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?”

He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: (E)‘They shall eat and have some left over.’ ” 44 So he set it before them; and they ate (F)and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.

47 Most assuredly, I say to you, (A)he who believes [a]in Me has everlasting life. 48 (B)I am the bread of life. 49 (C)Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 (D)This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread (E)which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and (F)the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

52 The Jews therefore (G)quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless (H)you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 (I)Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is [b]food indeed, and My blood is [c]drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood (J)abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 (K)This is the bread which came down from heaven—not (L)as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them [a]to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” 13 Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.

So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; (A)do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”

So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”

And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
