⁶ And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and ^(A)having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.

¹⁷ And ^(A)whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(B)giving thanks to God the Father through him.

¹⁰ Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” ^(A)Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. ¹¹ Jesus then took the loaves, and ^(B)when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted.

³⁵ And directing the crowd to sit down on the ground, ³⁶ he took the seven loaves and the fish, and ^(A)having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

¹⁸ And he said, “Bring them here to me.” ¹⁹ Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, ^(A)he looked up to heaven and ^(B)said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

³⁰ If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that ^(A)for which I give thanks?

³¹ So, whether you eat or drink, or ^(B)whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

⁶ The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since ^(A)he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.

²³ Other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord ^(A)had given thanks.

⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

³⁰ When he was at table with them, he took the bread and ^(A)blessed and broke it and gave it to them.
