⁶ He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people, and they did so.

¹⁷ And whatever you do,^(A) whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks^(B) to God the Father through him.

¹⁰ Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). ¹¹ Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks,^(A) and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.

³⁵ He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. ³⁶ Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them^(A) and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.

¹⁸ “Bring them here to me,” he said. ¹⁹ And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.^(A) Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

³⁰ If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for?^(A)

³¹ So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.^(B)

⁶ Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God;^(A) and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.

²³ Then some boats from Tiberias^(A) landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.^(B)

⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”^(A)

³⁰ When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it^(A) and began to give it to them.
