³⁸ For ^(A)whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this ^(B)adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed ^(C)when he comes in the glory of his Father with ^(D)the holy angels.”

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

¹⁶ For ^(A)I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is ^(B)the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew ^(C)first and also to ^(D)the Greek.

Acknowledge Christ Before Men

⁸ “And I tell you, ^(A)everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge ^(B)before the angels of God, ⁹ but ^(C)the one who denies me before men ^(D)will be denied ^(E)before the angels of God.

^23 (A)No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.

^4 (A)You adulterous people!^[a] Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? ^(B)Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

⁸ Therefore ^(A)do not be ashamed of ^(B)the testimony about our Lord, nor of ^(C)me his prisoner, but ^(D)share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,

²⁶ For ^(A)whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed ^(B)when he comes in ^(C)his glory and the glory of the Father and of ^(D)the holy angels.

^12 (A)which is why I suffer as I do. But ^(B)I am not ashamed, for ^(C)I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until ^(D)that day ^(E)what has been entrusted to me.^[a]

⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, ^(A)“You have said so. But I tell you, from now on ^(B)you will see the Son of Man ^(C)seated at the right hand of Power and ^(D)coming on the clouds of heaven.”
