¹⁷ But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? ^(A)Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart ^[a]still hardened?

⁵² For ^(A)they had not understood about the loaves, because their ^(B)heart was hardened.

¹¹ of whom ^(A)we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become ^(B)dull of hearing.

Spiritual Immaturity

¹² For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the ^[a]oracles of God; and you have come to need ^(C)milk and not solid food.

⁵ And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the ^(A)hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored ^[a]as whole as the other.

⁸ But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you ^[a]have brought no bread? ^9 (A)Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?

²³ I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who ^(A)searches^[a] the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

¹² For the word of God is ^(A)living and powerful, and ^(B)sharper than any ^(C)two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is ^(D)a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. ^13 (E)And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are ^(F)naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

¹⁷ He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of ^[a]Jonah, do you ^[b]love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

And he said to Him, “Lord, ^(A)You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.

³⁰ Now we are sure that ^(A)You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this ^(B)we believe that You came forth from God.”
