³⁷ They were completely amazed and said again and again, “Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.”

⁵¹ Then he climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed,

⁴² And the girl, who was twelve years old, immediately stood up and walked around! They were overwhelmed and totally amazed.

⁴¹ The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”

¹⁰ But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”

¹¹ Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord?

¹² And the man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers. They were all amazed and praised God, exclaiming, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!”

¹¹ When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in their local dialect, “These men are gods in human form!”

⁴¹ We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.”
