³⁶ Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone.^(A) But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it.

⁴ Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone.^(A) But go, show yourself to the priest^(B) and offer the gift Moses commanded,^(C) as a testimony to them.”

²⁶ Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into^[a] the village.”

⁴³ He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this,^(A) and told them to give her something to eat.

⁴⁴ “See that you don’t tell this to anyone.^(A) But go, show yourself to the priest^(B) and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing,^(C) as a testimony to them.” ⁴⁵ Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places.^(D) Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.^(E)
