Healing the Sick in Gennesaret

53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored the boat.(A) 54 When they got out of the boat, people at once recognized him 55 and rushed about that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.(B)

Many Healed at Gennesaret

53 And after they[a] had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 And as they were getting out of the boat, people[b] recognized him immediately. 55 They ran about through that whole region and began to carry around those who were sick[c] on stretchers, wherever they heard that he was. 56 And wherever he would go, into villages or into towns or to farms, they would put those who were sick in the marketplaces and would implore him that if they could touch even the edge of his cloak. And all those who touched it were healed.
