The Rejection of Jesus at Nazareth
6 He left that place and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. 2 On the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astounded. They said, “Where did this man get all this? What is this wisdom that has been given to him? What deeds of power are being done by his hands!(A) 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary[a] and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense[b] at him.(B) 4 Then Jesus said to them, “Prophets are not without honor, except in their hometown and among their own kin and in their own house.”(C) 5 And he could do no deed of power there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and cured them.(D) 6 And he was amazed at their unbelief.
The Mission of the Twelve
Then he went about among the villages teaching.(E) 7 He called the twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.(F) 8 He ordered them to take nothing for their journey except a staff: no bread, no bag, no money in their belts, 9 but to wear sandals and not to put on two tunics. 10 He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave the place. 11 If any place will not welcome you and they refuse to hear you, as you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.” 12 So they went out and proclaimed that all should repent.(G) 13 They cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.(H)
The Death of John the Baptist
14 King Herod heard of it, for Jesus’s[c] name had become known. Some were[d] saying, “John the baptizer has been raised from the dead, and for this reason these powers are at work in him.” 15 But others said, “It is Elijah.” And others said, “It is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.”(I) 16 But when Herod heard of it, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised.”(J)
17 For Herod himself had sent men who arrested John, bound him, and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, because Herod[e] had married her. 18 For John had been telling Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”(K) 19 And Herodias had a grudge against him and wanted to kill him. But she could not, 20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he protected him. When he heard him, he was greatly perplexed,[f] and yet he liked to listen to him.(L) 21 But an opportunity came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his courtiers and officers and for the leaders of Galilee.(M) 22 When his daughter Herodias[g] came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests, and the king said to the girl, “Ask me for whatever you wish, and I will give it.” 23 And he swore[h] to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, even half of my kingdom.”(N) 24 She went out and said to her mother, “What should I ask for?” She replied, “The head of John the baptizer.” 25 Immediately she rushed back to the king and requested, “I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter.” 26 The king was deeply grieved, yet out of regard for his oaths and for the guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27 Immediately the king sent a soldier of the guard with orders to bring John’s[i] head. He went and beheaded him in the prison, 28 brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl. Then the girl gave it to her mother. 29 When his disciples heard about it, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
Feeding the Five Thousand
30 The apostles gathered around Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 He said to them, “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.(O) 32 And they went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.(P) 33 Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they hurried there on foot from all the towns and arrived ahead of them. 34 As he went ashore, he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.(Q) 35 When it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is now very late; 36 send them away so that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy something for themselves to eat.” 37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They said to him, “Are we to go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”(R) 38 And he said to them, “How many loaves have you? Go and see.” When they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”(S) 39 Then he ordered them to get all the people to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups of hundreds and of fifties. 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and he divided the two fish among them all.(T) 42 And all ate and were filled, 43 and they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. 44 Those who had eaten the loaves numbered five thousand men.
Jesus Walks on the Water
45 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.(U) 46 After saying farewell to them, he went up on the mountain to pray.
47 When evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land. 48 When he saw that they were straining at the oars against an adverse wind, he came toward them early in the morning, walking on the sea. He intended to pass them by.(V) 49 But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out, 50 for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”(W) 51 Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded,(X) 52 for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.(Y)
Healing the Sick in Gennesaret
53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored the boat.(Z) 54 When they got out of the boat, people at once recognized him 55 and rushed about that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.(AA)

2 Quand le sabbat fut venu, il se mit à enseigner dans la synagogue. Beaucoup de gens qui l'entendirent étaient étonnés et disaient: D'où lui viennent ces choses? Quelle est cette sagesse qui lui a été donnée, et comment de tels miracles se font-ils par ses mains?
3 N'est-ce pas le charpentier, le fils de Marie, le frère de Jacques, de Joses, de Jude et de Simon? et ses soeurs ne sont-elles pas ici parmi nous? Et il était pour eux une occasion de chute.
4 Mais Jésus leur dit: Un prophète n'est méprisé que dans sa patrie, parmi ses parents, et dans sa maison.
5 Il ne put faire là aucun miracle, si ce n'est qu'il imposa les mains à quelques malades et les guérit.
6 Et il s'étonnait de leur incrédulité. Jésus parcourait les villages d'alentour, en enseignant.
7 Alors il appela les douze, et il commença à les envoyer deux à deux, en leur donnant pouvoir sur les esprits impurs.
8 Il leur prescrivit de ne rien prendre pour le voyage, si ce n'est un bâton; de n'avoir ni pain, ni sac, ni monnaie dans la ceinture;
9 de chausser des sandales, et de ne pas revêtir deux tuniques.
10 Puis il leur dit: Dans quelque maison que vous entriez, restez-y jusqu'à ce que vous partiez de ce lieu.
11 Et, s'il y a quelque part des gens qui ne vous reçoivent ni ne vous écoutent, retirez-vous de là, et secouez la poussière de vos pieds, afin que cela leur serve de témoignage.
12 Ils partirent, et ils prêchèrent la repentance.
13 Ils chassaient beaucoup de démons, et ils oignaient d'huile beaucoup de malades et les guérissaient.
14 Le roi Hérode entendit parler de Jésus, dont le nom était devenu célèbre, et il dit: Jean Baptiste est ressuscité des morts, et c'est pour cela qu'il se fait par lui des miracles.

17 Car Hérode lui-même avait fait arrêter Jean, et l'avait fait lier en prison, à cause d'Hérodias, femme de Philippe, son frère, parce qu'il l'avait épousée,
18 et que Jean lui disait: Il ne t'est pas permis d'avoir la femme de ton frère.
19 Hérodias était irritée contre Jean, et voulait le faire mourir.
20 Mais elle ne le pouvait; car Hérode craignait Jean, le connaissant pour un homme juste et saint; il le protégeait, et, après l'avoir entendu, il était souvent perplexe, et l'écoutait avec plaisir.
21 Cependant, un jour propice arriva, lorsque Hérode, à l'anniversaire de sa naissance, donna un festin à ses grands, aux chefs militaires et aux principaux de la Galilée.
22 La fille d'Hérodias entra dans la salle; elle dansa, et plut à Hérode et à ses convives. Le roi dit à la jeune fille: Demande-moi ce que tu voudras, et je te le donnerai.
23 Il ajouta avec serment: Ce que tu me demanderas, je te le donnerai, fût-ce la moitié de mon royaume.
24 Étant sortie, elle dit à sa mère: Que demanderais-je? Et sa mère répondit: La tête de Jean Baptiste.
25 Elle s'empressa de rentrer aussitôt vers le roi, et lui fit cette demande: Je veux que tu me donnes à l'instant, sur un plat, la tête de Jean Baptiste.
26 Le roi fut attristé; mais, à cause de ses serments et des convives, il ne voulut pas lui faire un refus.
27 Il envoya sur-le-champ un garde, avec ordre d'apporter la tête de Jean Baptiste.
28 Le garde alla décapiter Jean dans la prison, et apporta la tête sur un plat. Il la donna à la jeune fille, et la jeune fille la donna à sa mère.
29 Les disciples de Jean, ayant appris cela, vinrent prendre son corps, et le mirent dans un sépulcre.
30 Les apôtres, s'étant rassemblés auprès de Jésus, lui racontèrent tout ce qu'ils avaient fait et tout ce qu'ils avaient enseigné.
31 Jésus leur dit: Venez à l'écart dans un lieu désert, et reposez-vous un peu. Car il y avait beaucoup d'allants et de venants, et ils n'avaient même pas le temps de manger.
32 Ils partirent donc dans une barque, pour aller à l'écart dans un lieu désert.
33 Beaucoup de gens les virent s'en aller et les reconnurent, et de toutes les villes on accourut à pied et on les devança au lieu où ils se rendaient.
34 Quand il sortit de la barque, Jésus vit une grande foule, et fut ému de compassion pour eux, parce qu'ils étaient comme des brebis qui n'ont point de berger; et il se mit à leur enseigner beaucoup de choses.
35 Comme l'heure était déjà avancée, ses disciples s'approchèrent de lui, et dirent: Ce lieu est désert, et l'heure est déjà avancée;
36 renvoie-les, afin qu'ils aillent dans les campagnes et dans les villages des environs, pour s'acheter de quoi manger.
37 Jésus leur répondit: Donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger. Mais ils lui dirent: Irions-nous acheter des pains pour deux cents deniers, et leur donnerions-nous à manger?
38 Et il leur dit: Combien avez-vous de pains? Allez voir. Ils s'en assurèrent, et répondirent: Cinq, et deux poissons.
39 Alors il leur commanda de les faire tous asseoir par groupes sur l'herbe verte,
40 et ils s'assirent par rangées de cent et de cinquante.
41 Il prit les cinq pains et les deux poissons et, levant les yeux vers le ciel, il rendit grâces. Puis, il rompit les pains, et les donna aux disciples, afin qu'ils les distribuassent à la foule. Il partagea aussi les deux poissons entre tous.
42 Tous mangèrent et furent rassasiés,
43 et l'on emporta douze paniers pleins de morceaux de pain et de ce qui restait des poissons.
44 Ceux qui avaient mangé les pains étaient cinq mille hommes.
45 Aussitôt après, il obligea ses disciples à monter dans la barque et à passer avant lui de l'autre côté, vers Bethsaïda, pendant que lui-même renverrait la foule.
46 Quand il l'eut renvoyée, il s'en alla sur la montagne, pour prier.
47 Le soir étant venu, la barque était au milieu de la mer, et Jésus était seul à terre.
48 Il vit qu'ils avaient beaucoup de peine à ramer; car le vent leur était contraire. A la quatrième veille de la nuit environ, il alla vers eux, marchant sur la mer, et il voulait les dépasser.
49 Quand ils le virent marcher sur la mer, ils crurent que c'étaient un fantôme, et ils poussèrent des cris;
50 car ils le voyaient tous, et ils étaient troublés. Aussitôt Jésus leur parla, et leur dit: Rassurez-vous, c'est moi, n'ayez pas peur!
51 Puis il monta vers eux dans la barque, et le vent cessa. Ils furent en eux-même tout stupéfaits et remplis d'étonnement;
52 car ils n'avaient pas compris le miracle des pains, parce que leur coeur était endurci.
53 Après avoir traversé la mer, ils vinrent dans le pays de Génésareth, et ils abordèrent.
54 Quand ils furent sortis de la barque, les gens, ayant aussitôt reconnu Jésus,
55 parcoururent tous les environs, et l'on se mit à apporter les malades sur des lits, partout où l'on apprenait qu'il était.
56 En quelque lieu qu'il arrivât, dans les villages, dans les villes ou dans les campagnes, on mettait les malades sur les places publiques, et on le priait de leur permettre seulement de toucher le bord de son vêtement. Et tous ceux qui le touchaient étaient guéris.

Jesus Teaches In His Hometown Synagogue. They Are Astounded But Unbelieving
And He comes into His hometown[a]. And His disciples are following Him. 2 And having become Sabbath, He began to teach in the synagogue. And while listening, many were astounded, saying “From where did these things come to this One? And what is the wisdom having been given to this One? And such miracles taking place by His hands! 3 Is this One not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Jude[b] and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” And they were taking-offense[c] at Him. 4 And Jesus was saying to them that “A prophet is not without-honor except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his house”. 5 And He was not able to do any miracle there— except, having laid His hands on a few sick ones, He cured them. 6 And He was marveling because of their unbelief.
The Twelve Are Sent Out Two By Two To Proclaim Repentance And Heal The Sick
And He was going-around the villages in a circle, teaching. 7 And He summons the twelve, and began to send them out two by two. And He was giving them authority over the unclean spirits. 8 And He instructed them that they should be taking nothing for the journey except a staff [d] only— no bread, no [traveler’s] bag, no money[e] for the [money] belt— 9 but should go having [merely] tied-on sandals. “And do not put on two tunics[f]”. 10 And He was saying to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, be staying there until you go forth from-that-place[g]. 11 And whatever place does not welcome you, nor do they listen-to you— while proceeding out from-that-place, shake-out the dirt under your feet for a testimony against them”. 12 And having gone forth, they proclaimed that they should repent. 13 And they were casting out many demons. And they were anointing[h] many sick ones with oil and curing them.
Herod Hears of Jesus And Thinks John The Baptist Arose From The Dead
14 And King Herod[i] heard [of Him], for His name became known. And they[j] were saying that “John, the one baptizing, has arisen from the dead. And for this reason the miraculous-powers[k] are at-work in Him”. 15 And others were saying that “He is Elijah”. And others were saying that “He is a prophet like one of the [former] prophets”. 16 But having heard, Herod was saying, “John whom I beheaded— this one arose”.
For Herod Had Beheaded John The Baptist

The king said to the girl[u], “Ask me whatever you wish and I will give it to you”. 23 And he swore-with-an-oath to her solemnly, “Whatever thing you ask me, I will give it to you— up to half of my kingdom”. 24 And having gone out, she said to her mother, “What should I ask-for?” And the one said, “The head of John, the one baptizing”. 25 And having immediately gone in with haste to the king, she asked, saying “I want you to give me at-once on a platter the head of John the Baptist”. 26 And the king, having become deeply-grieved, did not want to reject her because of the oaths and the ones reclining-back [to eat]. 27 And immediately having sent-out an executioner[v], the king commanded him to bring his head. And having gone, he beheaded him in the prison. 28 And he brought his head on a platter and gave it to the girl. And the girl gave it to her mother. 29 And his disciples, having heard-of it, came and took away his corpse and laid it in a tomb.
Jesus Multiplies Five Loaves And Two Fish To Feed 5000 Men
30 And the apostles are gathered-together with Jesus. And they reported to Him all that they did and that they taught. 31 And He says to them, “Come, you yourselves privately, to a desolate[w] place, and rest a little”. For the ones coming and the ones going were many, and they were not even finding-an-opportunity[x] to eat. 32 And they went away privately in the boat to a desolate place. 33 And they[y] saw them going, and many knew[z] where. And they ran there together on foot from all the cities. And they came-ahead-of [aa] them. 34 And having gone[ab] out, He saw a large crowd and felt-deep-feelings [of compassion] toward them because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. And He began to teach them many things. 35 And already having become a late hour, having come to Him, His disciples were saying that “This place is desolate, and it is already a late hour. 36 Send them away in order that having gone away into the surrounding farms and villages, they may buy themselves what they may eat”. 37 But the One, having responded, said to them, “You give them something to eat”. And they say to Him, “Should we, having gone away, buy loaves worth two-hundred denarii[ac] and give them something to eat?” 38 And the One says to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go, see!” And having come-to-know, they say “Five, and two fish”. 39 And He commanded them to make everyone lie-back party by party on the green[ad] grass. 40 And they fell-back grouping by grouping, by hundreds and by fifties. 41 And having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having looked up to heaven, He blessed them[ae], and broke the loaves in pieces, and was giving them to His disciples in order that they might be setting it before them. And He divided the two fish to everyone. 42 And they all ate and were filled-to-satisfaction. 43 And they picked up fragments— the fillings of twelve baskets, and from the fish. 44 And the ones having eaten the loaves were five-thousand men[af].
Jesus Walks Across The Raging Sea
45 And immediately, He compelled[ag] His disciples to get into the boat, and to be going ahead to the other side, toward[ah] Bethsaida, while He sends-away the crowd. 46 And having said-good-bye to them[ai], He went away on the mountain to pray. 47 And having become evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea and He was alone on the land. 48 And having seen them being tormented[aj] in the rowing— for the wind was contrary to them— He comes to them around the fourth watch[ak] of the night, walking on the sea. And He was intending[al] to pass-by them. 49 But the ones, having seen Him walking on the sea, thought that “It is a phantom[am]”, and cried-out. 50 For they all saw Him and were frightened. But immediately the One spoke with them. And He says to them, “Take-courage, I am[an] the One. Do not be afraid[ao]”. 51 And He went up with them in the boat. And the wind stopped. And they were very exceedingly astonished in themselves. 52 For they did not understand[ap] on the basis of the loaves-of-bread, but their heart had been hardened.
In Gennesaret The People Recognize Him And Bring All Their Sick To Him For Healing
53 And having crossed-over, they came on land in Gennesaret and moored. 54 And they having gone out of the boat— immediately having recognized Him, 55 the people ran around that whole region. And they began to carry around the ones being ill on their cots to-where they were hearing that He was. 56 And wherever He was entering— into villages, or into cities, or into fields— they were laying the ones being sick in the marketplaces, and were begging Him that they might touch even[aq] the tassel of His garment. And all who touched it were being restored[ar].

A Prophet Without Honor(A)
6 Jesus left there and went to his hometown,(B) accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came,(C) he began to teach in the synagogue,(D) and many who heard him were amazed.(E)
“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? 3 Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon?(F) Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.(G)
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”(H) 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on(I) a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve(J)
Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.(K) 7 Calling the Twelve to him,(L) he began to send them out two by two(M) and gave them authority over impure spirits.(N)
8 These were his instructions: “Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts. 9 Wear sandals but not an extra shirt. 10 Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that town. 11 And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet(O) as a testimony against them.”
12 They went out and preached that people should repent.(P) 13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil(Q) and healed them.
John the Baptist Beheaded(R)(S)
14 King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known. Some were saying,[b] “John the Baptist(T) has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”
15 Others said, “He is Elijah.”(U)
And still others claimed, “He is a prophet,(V) like one of the prophets of long ago.”(W)
16 But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised from the dead!”
17 For Herod himself had given orders to have John arrested, and he had him bound and put in prison.(X) He did this because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. 18 For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”(Y) 19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to, 20 because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man.(Z) When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled[c]; yet he liked to listen to him.
21 Finally the opportune time came. On his birthday Herod gave a banquet(AA) for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee.(AB) 22 When the daughter of[d] Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests.
The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23 And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”(AC)
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?”
“The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.
25 At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”
26 The king was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27 So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28 and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. 29 On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand(AD)(AE)
30 The apostles(AF) gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught.(AG) 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat,(AH) he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
32 So they went away by themselves in a boat(AI) to a solitary place. 33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.(AJ) So he began teaching them many things.
35 By this time it was late in the day, so his disciples came to him. “This is a remote place,” they said, “and it’s already very late. 36 Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”
37 But he answered, “You give them something to eat.”(AK)
They said to him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages[e]! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?”
38 “How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.”
When they found out, they said, “Five—and two fish.”(AL)
39 Then Jesus directed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties. 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.(AM) Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42 They all ate and were satisfied, 43 and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. 44 The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.
Jesus Walks on the Water(AN)(AO)
45 Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat(AP) and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida,(AQ) while he dismissed the crowd. 46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.(AR)
47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, 49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost.(AS) They cried out, 50 because they all saw him and were terrified.
Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”(AT) 51 Then he climbed into the boat(AU) with them, and the wind died down.(AV) They were completely amazed, 52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.(AW)
53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there.(AX) 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak,(AY) and all who touched it were healed.
