¹⁶ But when Herod heard of it, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised.”^(A)

¹⁰ and the inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and celebrate and exchange presents, because these two prophets tormented the inhabitants of the earth.^(A)

¹¹ But after the three and a half days, the breath^[a] of life from God entered the two witnesses,^[b] and they stood on their feet, and those who saw them were terrified.^{(B) 12} Then they^[c] heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies watched them.^{(C) 13} At that moment there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.^(D)

⁹ Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” And he tried to see him.^(A)

⁴ He said, “I have sinned by betraying innocent^[a] blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? See to it yourself.”^(A)

² and he said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist; he has been raised from the dead, and for this reason these powers are at work in him.”

¹⁰ and on the vine there were three branches. As soon as it budded, its blossoms came out, and the clusters ripened into grapes. ¹¹ Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”
