5 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

治好被鬼附身的人
5 他们来到湖对岸的格拉森地区。 2 耶稣刚下船，就遇见一个被污鬼附身的人从坟场迎面而来。 3 那人以坟场为家，从来没有人能把他捆住，就算用铁链也锁不住他。 4 尽管有人多次用铁链和脚镣锁住他，但他挣断了铁链，砸碎了脚镣。没有人能制服他。 5 他昼夜在坟场和山野间大喊大叫，又用石头砍自己。
6 他远远看见耶稣，就跑过去跪下来拜祂，喊着说： 7 “至高上帝的儿子耶稣啊，我和你有什么关系？看在上帝的份上，求你不要折磨我！” 8 原来，耶稣已经对他身上的鬼说：“污鬼，从这人身上出来！”
9 耶稣问：“你叫什么名字？”
他说：“我的名字叫‘群’，因为我们是一大群。”
10 接着污鬼再三哀求耶稣，不要把它们逐出那个地区。 11 当时有一大群猪在附近山坡上觅食。 12 污鬼就哀求耶稣说：“让我们到猪群里去，附在它们身上吧！”
13 耶稣允许了，污鬼就离开那人，进入猪群。那群猪就一路奔下陡坡，冲进湖里淹死了，约有两千头。
14 放猪的人都吓跑了。他们把这消息传遍了城里乡间，于是人人都跑来看个究竟。 15 他们到了耶稣那里，看见那一度被群鬼附身的人神智清醒、衣着整齐地坐在那里，都很害怕。 16 目睹这件事的人向他们讲述整个经过。 17 他们请耶稣离开他们的地方。
18 耶稣上了船准备离开的时候，那被鬼附过的人恳求耶稣让他随行。 19 耶稣没有答应，只对他说：“回去见你的家人，将主为你所做的事和祂怜悯你的经过告诉他们吧！”
20 这人就回到低加坡里一带宣扬耶稣为他所行的奇事，大家都很惊奇。
耶稣医治有信心的人
21 耶稣再坐船回到对岸，立刻有一大群人在岸边围着祂。 22 人群中有一位会堂的主管名叫雅鲁，他一见到耶稣便俯伏在祂脚前， 23 恳求说：“我小女儿快要死了，求你去把手按在她身上，医治她，救她一命。”
24 耶稣和他同去，一大群人跟着祂，拥挤着祂。
25 有一个妇人患血漏病已经十二年， 26 经过许多医生的诊治，受尽痛苦，耗尽钱财，病情仍没有好转，反而更加严重。 27 她听见耶稣的事，就夹在人群中挤到耶稣背后摸祂的衣服， 28 心想：“只要摸到祂的衣服，我就痊愈了！”
29 她的血漏立刻停止了，她感到自己痊愈了。 30 耶稣马上知道有能力从自己身上发出，便在人群中转过身来问：“谁摸了我的衣服？”
31 门徒对祂说：“你看，这么多人在你周围挤来挤去，你怎么问谁摸你呢？”
32 耶稣环视四周，要找出摸祂的人。 33 那妇人害怕得发抖，她知道在自己身上发生了什么事，于是上前俯伏在耶稣面前，将实情说了出来。
34 耶稣说：“女儿，你的信心救了你。安心地回去吧！你的病好了。”
35 耶稣还在说话的时候，有人从雅鲁家中赶来，对雅鲁说：“你的女儿已经死了，何必麻烦老师呢？”
36 耶稣听了，便对雅鲁说：“不要怕，只要信。” 37 于是，祂带着彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰去雅鲁家，不准其他人跟着。 38 他们到了那里，只见在场的人嚎啕大哭，场面混乱。 39 耶稣进去问道：“你们为什么大哭大嚷呢？这孩子并没有死，只是睡着了。”
40 这些人听了，都讥笑祂。耶稣让他们全部出去，然后带着孩子的父母和三个门徒进了房间。 41 祂拉着孩子的手说：“大利大，古米！”意思是：“小女孩，我吩咐你起来！”
42 小女孩应声而起，并且可以走动，那时她十二岁。在场的人都惊奇不已。 43 耶稣郑重叮嘱他们不要把这事张扬出去，又吩咐他们给女孩东西吃。

Jesús sana a un endemoniado
5 Fueron a la otra orilla del mar, a la región de los gadarenos[a]. 2 Apenas salido él de la barca, de repente le salió al encuentro, de entre los sepulcros, un hombre con espíritu inmundo. 3 Este tenía su morada entre los sepulcros. Y nadie podía atarlo ni siquiera con cadenas, 4 ya que muchas veces había sido atado con grillos y cadenas pero él había hecho pedazos las cadenas y desmenuzado los grillos. Y nadie lo podía dominar. 5 Continuamente, de día y de noche, andaba entre los sepulcros y por las montañas gritando e hiriéndose con piedras.
6 Cuando vio a Jesús desde lejos, corrió y le adoró. 7 Y clamando a gran voz dijo:
—¿Qué tienes conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te conjuro por Dios que no me atormentes.
8 Pues Jesús le decía:
—Sal de este hombre, espíritu inmundo.
9 Y le preguntó:
—¿Cómo te llamas?
Y le dijo:
—Me llamo Legión, porque somos muchos.
10 Y le rogaba mucho que no los enviara fuera de aquella región.
11 Allí cerca de la montaña estaba paciendo un gran hato de cerdos. 12 Y le rogaron[b] diciendo:
—Envíanos a los cerdos, para que entremos en ellos.
13 Jesús les dio permiso. Y los espíritus inmundos salieron y entraron en los cerdos; y el hato, como dos mil cerdos, se lanzó al mar por un despeñadero y se ahogaron en el mar.
14 Los que apacentaban los cerdos huyeron y dieron aviso en la ciudad y por los campos. Y fueron para ver qué era lo que había pasado. 15 Llegaron a Jesús y vieron al endemoniado que había tenido la legión, sentado, vestido y en su juicio cabal; y tuvieron miedo. 16 Los que lo habían visto les contaron qué le había pasado al endemoniado y lo de los cerdos, 17 y ellos comenzaron a implorar a Jesús que saliera de sus territorios.
18 Y mientras él entraba en la barca, el que había sido poseído por el demonio le rogaba que le dejara estar con él. 19 Pero Jesús no se lo permitió sino que le dijo:
—Vete a tu casa, a los tuyos, y cuéntales cuán grandes cosas ha hecho el Señor por ti, y cómo tuvo misericordia de ti.
20 Él se fue y comenzó a proclamar en Decápolis cuán grandes cosas Jesús había hecho por él, y todos se maravillaban.
Jesús sana a una mujer
21 Cuando Jesús hubo cruzado de nuevo en la barca a la otra orilla, se congregó alrededor de él una gran multitud. Y él estaba junto al mar. 22 Y vino uno de los principales de la sinagoga, llamado Jairo. Cuando lo vio, se postró a sus pies 23 y le imploró mucho diciendo:
—Mi hijita está agonizando. ¡Ven! Pon las manos sobre ella para que sea salva y viva.
24 Jesús fue con él. Y lo seguía una gran multitud, y lo apretujaban.
25 Había una mujer que sufría de hemorragia desde hacía doce años. 26 Había sufrido mucho de muchos médicos y había gastado todo lo que tenía, y de nada le había aprovechado; más bien, iba de mal en peor. 27 Cuando oyó hablar de Jesús, vino por detrás de él entre la multitud y tocó su manto 28 porque ella pensaba: “Si solo toco su manto, seré sanada”. 29 Al instante se secó la fuente de su sangre y sintió en su cuerpo que ya estaba sana de aquel azote. 30 De pronto, Jesús, reconociendo dentro de sí que había salido poder de él, volviéndose a la multitud dijo:
—¿Quién me ha tocado el manto?
31 Sus discípulos le dijeron:
—Ves la multitud que te apretuja, y preguntas: “¿Quién me tocó?”.
32 Él miraba alrededor para ver a la que había hecho esto. 33 Entonces la mujer, temiendo y temblando, sabiendo lo que en ella había sido hecho, fue y se postró delante de él y le dijo toda la verdad.
34 Él le dijo:
—Hija, tu fe te ha salvado. Vete en paz y queda sanada de tu azote.
Jesús resucita a la hija de Jairo
35 Mientras él aún hablaba, vinieron de la casa del principal de la sinagoga diciendo:
—Tu hija ha muerto. ¿Para qué molestas más al Maestro?
36 Pero Jesús, sin hacer caso a esta palabra que se decía, dijo al principal de la sinagoga:
—No temas; solo cree.
37 Y no permitió que nadie lo acompañara, sino Pedro, Jacobo y Juan, el hermano de Jacobo. 38 Llegaron a la casa del principal de la sinagoga, y él vio el alboroto y a los que lloraban y lamentaban mucho. 39 Y al entrar les dijo:
—¿Por qué hacen alboroto y lloran? La niña no ha muerto sino que duerme.
40 Ellos se burlaban de él. Pero él los sacó a todos, y tomó al padre y a la madre de la niña y a los que estaban con él, y entró a donde estaba la niña. 41 Tomó la mano de la niña y le dijo:
—Talita, cumi[c] (que traducido es: Niña, a ti te digo, levántate).
42 Y en seguida la niña se levantó y andaba, pues tenía doce años. Y quedaron atónitos. 43 Él les mandó estrictamente que nadie lo supiera y ordenó que le dieran a ella de comer.
