⁴¹ He took her by the hand^(A) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).^{(B) 42} Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.

¹⁴ Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”^{(A) 15} The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.

⁴³ When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”^{(A) 44} The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen,^(B) and a cloth around his face.^(C)

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
