³⁶ But overhearing^[a] what they said, Jesus said to ^(A)the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”

⁵⁰ But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”

²⁸ When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” ^29 (A)Then he touched their eyes, saying, ^(B)“According to your faith be it done to you.”

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, ^(A)“Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see ^(B)the glory of God?”

²³ And Jesus said to him, ^(A)“‘If you can’! ^(B)All things are possible for one who believes.”

¹⁸ In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, ^(A)“So shall your offspring be.” ¹⁹ He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was ^(B)as good as dead (^(C)since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered ^(D)the barrenness^[a] of Sarah's womb. ²⁰ No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, ²¹ fully convinced that ^(E)God was able to do what he had promised. ²² That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” ²³ But ^(F)the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, ²⁴ but for ours also. It will be counted to us ^(G)who believe in ^(H)him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord,

³⁴ And he said to her, “Daughter, ^(A)your faith has made you well; ^(B)go in peace, and be healed of your ^(C)disease.”

⁴⁸ So Jesus said to him, ^(A)“Unless you^[a] see signs and wonders you will not believe.” ⁴⁹ The official said to him, “Sir, come down ^(B)before my child dies.” ⁵⁰ Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way.

²⁰ He said to them, ^(A)“Because of your little faith. For ^(B)truly, I say to you, ^(C)if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, ^(D)you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and ^(E)nothing will be impossible for you.”^[a]
