²⁴ So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.

³¹ But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

⁶ Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof.

A House Divided Cannot Stand^(A)

²⁰ Then the multitude came together again, ^(B)so that they could not so much as eat bread.

⁹ So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush Him. ¹⁰ For He healed ^(A)many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to ^(B)touch Him.

³⁸ how ^(A)God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who ^(B)went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, ^(C)for God was with Him.

³ And he sought to ^(A)see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.

Beware of Hypocrisy^(A)

12 In ^(B)the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, ^(C)“Beware of the ^[a]leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

⁴⁵ And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”

When all denied it, Peter ^[a]and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, ^[b]and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

⁴² for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she ^(A)was dying.

But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him.
